I had a job interview at a football club so I put down my years of running the line somewhere in my application, mostly to show involvement and interest in the game. My prepared answer for talking about it was ‘being confidently wrong ‘. Yes a bit of joke but a way into talking about being decisive etc etc

My experience is nothing like this. I’ve been on the sidelines for over 13 years and lino-ed my fair share.

Maybe half a dozen note worthy incidents, the majority are coach’s but can think of one parent getting out of line.

Local FA often send reminders. Has silent days and all games expected to have respect barriers.

Obviously depends on where you live.

All due respect, the team’s coaches should be having a word then. Also worth taking to the clubs senior staff and they can take it further. If this is happening every week then the larger organisation needs to step in.
