If they can properly operate that big gun while still doing that ceremonial high-stepping, jumping, and other things... imagine how fast and precise they can limber the gun when the ship hits the fan.

I've built it. And automated it via copper golem.

Humans make fairly decent minions, when it is in their best interest. Humans may also try to revolution, mainly because they are Humans.

"If it simply can’t be domesticated we just call them wild animal or xeno"
nah, we just insult the ones trying to domesticate them and try again.

Yeah, but they are less aerodynamic and tend to complain more.

They trimmed it on the way up so they could drop it all the way down.

My brain is doing the math. My brain is also not telling my hands and or mouth what the answer is, but it is doing the math.

WHAT???

It's a military cook. They've got their cookin' knife and their stabbin' knife.

To build off thus idea, if you extend an additional cooling vane to cool you down "faster", nothing says getting the heat off the ship/out of the system like physically dumping an external radiator vane that is practically melting with excess waste heat.
It makes the radiator vanes into a semi-consumable and a bio-ship might grow something analogous as a backup that it would jettison for the same reason or to be stealthy.

Job not done. Second job is teaching people how to drink from an asymmetrical bottle without splashing themselves every time they put it down. If you follow the directions on motor oil or a box of cooking stock, you'll see that it says to pour with the spout on TOP so that the air can equalize and not splash all over.

While it is a song, it is a Blacksmith singing a parody of "Bare Necessities." From the Fire Monkey Forge.

I'm not arguing one way or the other. People are also forgetting about letting the air back into the bottle. With a oil bottle, or box of cooking stock, the way you are supposed to pour them is with the spout up. So that they don't splash when the air inevitably displaces the liquid. With the spout down and off to the side like the picture shows... the drinker is going to get splashed several times before learning to tip the liquid off the spout.
4dwarf
Counter argument: motor oil comes in square bottles with the spout off to the side to improve pouring.
It's more the fact that you don't have anything on from the waist down while charging at an intruder, that is more scary than anything.
