Saw fun as part of a Tonight Show taping at Universal Studios Orlando. Like most concerts at the park, audience members from the show were given up front access first. They did one new song for the taping, then stuck around and performed 3 or 4 more of their hits, which I thought was cool of them. In retrospect, I never heard the new single on the radio and I think this may have been their last live performance together.

Best part was actually non-musical. Jimmy Fallon came out before the show to hype us up and tell us to put our cell phones away and live in the moment. One guy filming WITH AN iPAD was ignoring him, so he looks straight at him, "dude, put the FUCKING iPad away!" I don't know, it was just funny given his squeaky clean TV image.

My guess is if it does close, won't be until close to new land opening, and will be repurposed into showing animated shorts on a loop, if not just shuttered. Neither warrants an early announcement.

Theory I've heard a couple times is that after Nirvana upended the industry, record labels were putting out anything in the hope that would be the next big thing. See also, that brief swing revival Todd discussed in the Cherry Pooping Daddies OHW, I'm sire there are other brief fads I've forgotten. Music that previously had no business being on the radio/VH1 suddenly was.

None of the rides open until 6:30. Some houses that didn't open at 2 will open around 5:15 - 5:30 but we don't know which yet.

With this new 2 pm opening, it's very difficult to predict. Also questions like, will Stranger Things still be as popular?

That said, based on tradition, if you don't dawdle at open, can probably hit the Simpsons house and HR Bloodengutz* with minimal waits, then make your way to Hellraiser/Sinners. (Zones are lame anyway during daylight.) All this while the front of the park is slammed. While back there, try to get into the first Nightmare Fuel show, however that plays out--it will be an hour plus out of your night afterwards. After all that dip into Diagon, then hit the Fast & Furious house, then make your way back up front and play things by ear. Jack/Oddfellow and Ozzy will still have insane lines, but they will at opening as well.

My guess is Evil Dead will have some of the more reasonable lines throughout the night (along with every original that isn't HR or maybe Alien Abduction), but if it's your #1 thing, I wouldn't save it for last. Do it once, can always hit again at the end of the night.

* downside to this is missing the HR queue video during daylight, so maybe skip right to the back two after Simpsons house, hit HR after Nightmare Fuel, use bridge before Simpsons to get back to Diagon.

If so, pretty classic "5 Man Band" line-up from TV Tropes. Cyclops as leader, Jean and Storm as lancer/female who provides the emotional glue (which is which a creative choice), Beast as brainy one, Rogue as the brawny one, I suppose if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Subway succeeded by being everywhere, and by offering $5 subs. Ubiquitous mid 90s thru 00s, even if it was never anyone's "favorite."

Quizno's was legit amazing at its peak, but the company got greedy, drove off its franchisees. But for a 4 to 5 year stretch, it was the best sandwich in the business, a lot of people's favorite QSR.
