The fact that you can encounter an animal that has 64 confirmed human fatalities in the US so easily is the point I'm making. People have put the stamp of approval on pit bulls even though they were historically bred as a fighting dog, but wouldnt dream of having a crocodilian as a pet. But guess what, there are states in the US where it is completely legal to own crocs and alligators, and where pit bulls are outlawed, and the pit bulls still have a higher kill count.
