harrow im in Australia and am running 1.4.41 Build 20260811 Rel. 37863, i used the version from the UK link you provided because its the EU version same as Australian versions.

TPLink Australia is ass and all their links are so outdated, one thing to note though "3. Minimum FW Version for Update: 1.4.0 Build 20260731 Rel. 24887." for getting to 1.4.4 - BUT i had to get to 1.3.2 first, the 1.4.0 build was available from the UK or the US support site but then that has the prerequisite of 1.3.2 which i couldnt find anywhere, on any site at all, after contacting support they gave me this link lol https://www.mediafire.com/file/1s5klxk68dt2w8y/EAP683LRv1_1.3.2_%255B20251009-rel38279%255D_up_signed.bin.zip/file

everywhere ive worked in the past have organised accomodation in advance so im not out of pocket, and fuel has never been paid for just cents/km paid for via expense claim. same with meal allowance, in my previous company i was travelling around 2 - 4 times a month out of state.

To be fair, he did post in the thread why he was closing it, your account was something like 10 years old and you hadn’t posted a single thing in that time or even had any messages. Given the combination of pricing and a suss history of never posting anything then all of the sudden posting hard drives at under below market value seemed suss enough for them to close the thread, another thing the admin noted is that it’s been common practice for other accounts to be breached if they had little to no activity in the past then be used to scam people - again not accusing you but it seemed suss and you could have also emailed the admin back asking for clarification or even explaining yourself.

Be Weary of this seller (im not passing judgement) but this exact same thread was posted on OCAU and the admins locked the trading account for being suss

If you have a complex SSID setup then surely you’re capable of deploying a radius server and using 802.1x to do more complex configurations for NAC. You could use MAC bypass allow all and configure policies based on called station ID (not calling station ID). But to be honest you must have a pretty decent business reason for doing this.

Working largely in project implementation in the past 10 years, I generally come from a background where if its not a documented best practice, or a documented config from a vendor, then when i need last line vendor help i shoot myself in the foot because they would just point back to the way it was configured.

aaaaannndd i think i just answered my own question. the one with the $ say can decide, ive told them the correct documented config and said we can "get away with not obeying the recommendations with caveats" and let them accept the risk (even though im the one supporting it

how big is your cluster? im running 9 X Nodes with 24X 14TB / 16TB drives per node, looking at the DB size currently tho is around 20GB used

thats a good point and you mentioning that it would go from ok to very poor is something i was curious about. from what ive been researching so far, i knew it would fallback to HDD but yeah nothing i could see clearly on the impact

yeah similar situation but yes a very good reference, im thinking i'll look at some of the data for the current DB usage over time, which i should be able to do, and include the current usage and see what my options are, to meet the recommended 2.5% i would need to replace all my NVME drives with 3+TB NVME Drives, so 6 drives per node, 9 nodes would be $$$

wow sounds like they did a tick and flick with the process. I guess it all comes down to the company and their IT Capability and capacity. For someone like KPMG i would 100% be concerned with this happening, and i guess it comes down to the company you work for at the end of the day.

As someone else said, you can always disclose through ASIC, and to be honest, id do that as a default regardless of whether the company has a whistleblower process or not. If someone is at the point of being a whistleblower, going straight to ASIC would be just as damaging to your reputation in the company as reporting using internal processes, it all comes down to how its handled, and with the current KPMG issues, and countless other whistleblowers, i wouldnt trust any internal processes.

working to move to HPE VME (Morpheus) we are a MSP with a private cloud offering to our clients, some manage their own VMs and a number of them need console access, VME is validated with our storage and supports it out of the box (FC Nimble Arrays), we have around 40 hosts and 3K VMs. there will be some crossover where things will have to be hosted in Hyper-V like Citrix. For backups we are using Rubrik and they are putting us in the early release trials of Rubrik for VME. If we have to though, we will move to Veeam.

*sigh* thats if you want to or need to do DR replication otherwise no need for Zerto.
