I felt the same and bought a set of these Carhartts. They have foam around the eye socket, but look like sunglasses to the common folk.

Our boy is right at 80lbs and very lean. Our female is just shy of 50lbs, also very fit. They are both 18 months old. He is more than 6” taller than the female at the shoulder. He is just massive.

Dyslexia is a hell of a drug. My wife does many of these things, and while sometimes it does take me a minute to figure out, there’s no need for me to be an ass about it.

But, what if they have been? And small used to be really, really small?

10 years into my IT career, I changed jobs in order to be close to home and kill my 3 hour daily commute. Interviews went great, pay was low, but it was a during a recession and I took it anyway. First day in, I was going over logistics with my new manager and let it slip how excited I was to drive 15 minutes home, spend a half hour with my wife and brand new baby, and come back in.
IT manager - “No, sorry, you can’t do that.”
Me - “But, I’m exempt, and that’s normal for degreed professionals in our field.”
“Nope. The non-exempt people will see you and get jealous. All office staff are only allowed 30 minutes for lunch and two 15 minute breaks. Also, anything beyond 5 minutes late will be a write up.”
Me - Pickachu face. I had a Masters at this point, and was technically more qualified than my boss, only was treated like a schoolchild.
I was used to starting my day give or take a half hour because traffic, taking whatever I wanted for lunch, and leaving whenever that day’s tasks were done. Sometimes that’s 4:30, but many times that was at least 6:00.
Guess who left at exactly 4:30pm everyday, not giving two shits along the way? Never volunteered for any weekend coverage or projects. I bulletproofed my systems against outage and automated everything about my job that I could. And zoned out the rest of the time.
Thankfully, the entire management staff turned over about 18 months later and this manager retired. If I have to put up with all the bad stuff that comes with being exempt, I’m damn sure not giving up the few perks.

This game is feeling very “sense of pride and accomplishment-ishy”, but without a worthwhile something to accomplish.
As a long time Halo fan, I love the mechanics and play just for fun. Except, that wanes because I want to play this or that and cannot. And I want to play on a different map. Or maybe make my own map. Or easily team up and chat with my friends, and make new ones. And then take those friends on a group ride through the campaign.
Without major net code bugs. Without major game modes being broke for weeks. Without missing the most basic of features.
Basically, the staples of what an online Halo experience should be. Yeah, I’d expect some issues with figuring out customization, if that wasn’t a huge feature in past releases. And I’d expect some time to be needed to balance weapons and get a feel for what the community will tolerate with challenges and weekly store swaps, etc.
But we didn’t get that. We got a game we all wanted to love that frankly, wasn’t anywhere close to what the first release was in all of the other franchise titles. Every single one was more complete out of the box, regardless of who made it or what people thought about styles and game mechanics.
This still has potential to be great. And the frustration is, no one is saying where this is going or how long it’s going to take to get there. How many will wait till then? When is then going to be? What will it be? That’s my rub with things, fwiw.

The only point I’ll disagree with you on is about the younger generation not wanting to learn or caring about lore. All the kids in my son’s gaming circles are Fortnite, Roblox, Apex Legends, and Minecraft players. They spend endless hours watching streams and YT about in-game and behind the scenes lore, and learning new ways to do things.
I think that the MP really doesn’t expose the Halo lore very well. It doesn’t make any real use of anything except Convenant weapons and a couple of vehicles. No cool levels that mix in real Forerunner tech, no Flood presence anywhere, no shipboard levels, etc. The ambiance is all but gone. You only get exposed in the Campaign, which given the free MP experience, I understand why they aren’t begging to buy it. I do have the campaign, because I have Game Pass. But my kids and their friends don’t even care that it exists.
Why dig in? Because dad thinks it’s cool? Yeah, right.

After 20+ years in corporate-land, I now bristle by the term resource when it is applied to people.
Resources are absolutely a commodity. Commodities by their very definition are bought, sold, squeezed, shuffled, optimized, right-sized, and downsized without moral implications. It’s a shit term to apply to a fellow human being.
I also choose that one guy’s dead wife.
