See Bernie Sanders performance with black voters every presidential primary.

But with Gallup (D+10 party ID) and Pew (D+4 party ID) surveys in the past few weeks, is it fair to say pollsters are actually undersampling Dems by at least 5-7%, meaning that we could be really missing a D+15 GCB?
Are you accounting for different target populations? All adults vs. registered voters vs. likely voters would yield drastically different party id proportions.
AaronStack91
A more likely explanation is that they explicitly do not sample on past voting, and there are more people willing to admit they voted for trump in the run up to the midterm.
This could be a sign of increased political activation of the MAGA voter base. Like crocuses coming out of winter hibernation.
ETA: from the first two crosstabs, the republican and dem mix is nearly identical, so that is more evidence the Republican responses are changing rather than increasing.

IMHO, this why we should have a light touch on gate keeping things under the guise of "cultural appropriation".

Lol. I always look for the most downvoted comment to see what the OP is omitting.
Thank you for enduring the downvotes.

I'm not there, I don't know your experience, maybe they are full blown racists (against asians but not blacks) that suddenly wanted you gone after 5 years at the company and giving you ~6 months warning before laying you off. I'm just saying, it maybe worth considering something else is at play.
Maybe it isn't your presentation but your business judgement, or maybe it is something else. If you have any friends there, it might be worth trying to get some honest feedback, if for nothing else, to prepare you for your next job.

In they proceed to call these performance issues and offer me the option between a performance improvement plan, which they told me I would fail, or a mutual separation agreement.
In my experience, no one wants to PIP an employee. It is a pain in the ass to do from a management perspective. I am very close to PIPing a person on my team after a year of feedback and them failing to improve, but the HR hoops are so annoying I am just delaying it.
I will sometimes step in on calls when I see junior staff floundering or veering into the wrong direction. I also review emails of junior/mid level staff who need help with their writing. It doesn't bring me any joy micromanaging when I have my own job to do.
Maybe it is a race thing, but is it likely that are they are so racist that they are will to do all this extra work managing you? or maybe there is actually a performance issue. I would really consider their complaints and think if you are actually struggling in certain areas. Sometimes employees don't know when they are struggling.
Maybe consider Toastmasters or a professional writing course since most of the complaints deal with communication.

Just like RGB planned 😎

But, i’m pretty sure the whole anti-asian harassment from black people is not statistically substantiated based on data and is largely over represented.
There maybe perfectly rational reasons to explain why, but there is a serious disparity on black on asian hate crimes. It very much substantiated over a representative sample.
See FBI hate crime statistics: https://cde.ucr.cjis.gov/LATEST/webapp/#/pages/explorer/crime/hate-crime

It's a complex history, and even our recent history.
I think it could be fairly said that a lot of the 2020s street attacks were from perpetrator who were black. I suspect due to COVID and the BLM movement, policing became very lax as a form of restorative justice, and that let a lot of unstable individuals on the streets who happen to black (who may not have resources to keep themselves in treatment or in care of social services).
Major traditional media outlets have a standing policy of de-emphasizing stories that vilify and portray black people in a negative light, and frequently obscured the attacker characteristics, even when these attackers were still at large. This would be especially true post Floyd and the "racial reckoning". So as the trend of attacker became apparent, there became a reluctance to cover it.
Finally, our own asian political organizations (like StopAAPIhate.org) are basically captured by white liberal ideology so they prioritize "non-carceral" solutions, advocating against policing and prosecution for crime (for fear of harming black people) and basically slow walked any real political activism and tried to divert grass root activism away from calls of police protection which is probably their number one demand.
As a result, we never had a chance, any political motivation was smothered by larger black and white politics at play.

Reflective foil or cardboard on the outside of your windows to prevent more heat from getting in. If you can't put them on the outside, the inside will work too but slightly less efficient.

Guy gave out guns and trained them and was barking orders to the crowd after he shot a government official in the neck. Am I wrong?
AaronStack91
I'm not a professional poem maker or anything, but that was a hard poem in english to understand without more context. My first read without any explanation, I really struggled to parse it.
I get the style, where you surprise the reader with the subject at the end, but the sparsity of the first two lines leaves a lot to be interpreted, then by the time you get to the 3rd line, you are like "What?". But maybe I'm not primed by reading a hundred poems before judging it.

It would honestly have to be more specific group than a broader political movement to prosecute. While Antifa is unstructured ideology, this guy Benjamin Song, went and organized an antifa group under his leadership.

Household surveys could include questions for teens or parental reports. Adults is an important distinction.
AaronStack91
I welcome the change. I find fewer and fewer comments in here to be grounded in the survey methodology or general data analysis. Rather, it is just cheering and jeering for their team with no thought if the results are reliable.
Sometimes explaining basic things like margin of error or target polling population or weighting gets me downvotes when it is dis-favorable to their team.
AaronStack91
Probably best not to support an organization where the leader is distributing guns and shot at government agents.
AaronStack91
"I am more this identity than I am Asian!"...
...It felt like people got prickly if I brought attention to how we are Asian.
People experience and approach their identity in different ways, I wonder if you are making assumptions on what an asian should behave like and it is weirding people out?
Personally, even though I identify strongly with my asian heritage, I am an individual first and don't like people assuming things about me, it feels overly familiar with nothing to back it up. For example, while I like anime, I don't assume every asian I meet has a love for anime. If a rando assumed that, I would think he is being racist.
AaronStack91
I know tempers are high, but you can't just shoot at government agents (guy got shot in the neck) and not expect to be prosecuted for a crime.
He was also reportedly the leader of the activist group and commanded people on the ground where the shooting took place. He also bought and distributed AR-15s to his group and gave them firearms training. There's a difference between a political protest and whatever this was...
AaronStack91
It is kinda the norm, about 40-50% of households last I checked. Though most gun owners will not share that information with strangers.
AaronStack91
I'm an insurance adjuster and almost all the burgleries I've worked in 15 years the thief broke in while no one was home and they stole all the guns.
Dang. What about the claims where the burglary was stopped by a present homeowner?
AaronStack91
I guess I had a different experience growing up then. Racism was more overt in the 90s, like directly to your face, and racial socialization wasn't as common and white people barely understood how to act near POC people. This is all despite the UPN showcasing a series of black TV show.
AaronStack91
The nineties were better???
AaronStack91
dang, did they ever leave?
Just a minor addition, I thought was interesting. From the Wapo/Ipsos poll, they are using a more recent estimate of Party ID than the last election:
This in theory should capture more of Trumps recent actions and its affect on Party ID.
