Heck no. I think you need whale level diamond or sacrifice summoning to do so. My monthly malrik usage counter is around 120-140 by end of month I believe. It's possible to hit 200 F2P, but you need to be skipping a lot of blue summons to do so (which I'm unwilling to do). I know some who do and their gear quality must be better than mine, but I reckon we won't get enough diamonds to keep up with the new heroes release that way.
How many times a day do you visit + refresh the Dwarven Shop?
Below is my purchase list: I purchased every stamina pot and discounted 100 stamina, and refreshed until it hits 10 diamond (means I reset all the free ones and 5 diamonds since I deem it to be worth it). Everything else I save for summoning. I'm also fairly active and bought things off shop via hourly reset more often than a typical player, I bet.

I actually have the exact same numbers for comparison below. It's the extended version of my personal tracker where I only recorded the ancient banners I actually pulled in (if the banner is not indicated, means I skipped them):
"Weekly rate" is weekly average between banners, so eg: between May 23 (Oren's banner) and Jul 17 (Jezebelle's banner), the weekly average is 42.5. You can see that it's indeed much higher then (majority is above 40/week because they gave us so many ancients from events). But since Amelia's banner (Oct 10 until Oct 27 / now), the weekly average drops significantly to 34.6.
As I mentioned in OP, this period is very lacking in terms of ancient rewards, but it serves as a good baseline to create an experiment such as this, and why I'm fairly confident we can get even more than 40/week if you average out the events.

Weekly reward is at least 1 guaranteed of each of Apoc 1, Apoc 2, Matrix iirc. I also always buy the 2 chests weekly using epic awakening tokens (I don't spend it on legendary awakening tokens; those are only for important lego awakening for me). Weekly-monthly basis also have from GD shop, codex boss, etc.
Remaining is from GR/AMR farm every 3-4 days yes. You can see the ancient income off malrik exploding every time I did those rounds; those are almost exclusively from GR/AMR. Unfortunately I don't keep separate records for malrik rune acquisition or exactly how much stamina I spent, but to give an estimate, I almost exclusively farm whichever raid has oracle trials on, and typically hover around 25-35k pts by the end of GR1-3 oracle trials (I normally don't use stamina pots in AMR since the rewards are much worse and I'm good for artifacts)
I never hit the 200 monthly malrik cap though. I know many of my (likely whale) guild mates who always hit it to the point of destroying malrik runes level 1-2 because of overflow, and they can get even more ancients on top of the sprinkles during GR farm itself.

It's because there's barely any events nowadays. After patch we will have 2 big contents at the same time so it will pad up our ancient stash nicely hopefully. You can also see my Monday / weekly loots over 5 weeks; it varies from 11 to 22 so definitely big variance there.
If you trust my numbers, I have another file that I tracked on daily basis (but no breakdown by sources). This is from Dec 26 2025 until now (so almost a year's worth), and it naturally includes everything (all events including anniversary, AC collab, etc). My lifetime average is 41.6/week, which is why I'm fairly confident to reach around 40 for this 35-day period experiment.

Need testing (hoping for magic Malrik), but need RNG to win it and my Ajax is only A0, so I'm quite pessimistic.
Hope he gets a buff though (Mres reduction should be 3 tiles minimum or 2 tiles around him + his auto attack range. This is 2026 with gazilion power creep already ffs, 2 tiles around him is just not cutting it.

This is true. However it's not that much less (some comments here seems to be around 20-30 weekly for typical account which is not that far off 37 at all)
You can also download the file and simulate it yourself (eg: reduce GB2-4 / Tower / GvG rewards by 1/3, scale down Malrik runes / GR drops if you never spend any diamonds on stamina, etc). You can get a surprisingly good guesstimate for your own accounts this way.
Lastly, you can also get a whole lot higher if you're not averse to paying (I read you can get amazingly good value if you spend during the wgold chest events), or if you're the end game players who spend more diamonds on gear raids than me (recall that I have a stamina pot surplus after 35 days, and I only spent on discounted stamina ie: no 60 diamond for 200 stamina ever). My monthly malrik usage is typically ~130/month, which is a whole lot less than the 200 monthly cap that I saw many players doing on regular basis.

It's almost free resources anyway. You can buy 1 exp boost every week from arena shop for absurdly low price, and void rift nightmare + events gives lots of free exp / gold boost, and you can also cook more. Be careful on exp/gold boost rewards though: some are auto consumed upon obtaining, so you need to time it properly. Also exp/gold boosts from awakening / codex shop are a scam, avoid them.
Saving stamina from events for these is a hassle I admit, but F2P need every bit to excel. This is my routine:
- Intentionally save all stamina sources (GB1, pantheon, shop daily stamina, friendship pts, event stamina, tide, all black market stamina & refreshes, you name it) a few hours before next day rollover, and be as close to max stamina as feasible.
- Start popping exp + gold boost, then use own stamina first. As it depletes, use the above stamina sources until depleted.
- Next day rollover and make sure to clear all daily stamina sources in #1 as well.
- (Optional) set auto-run overnight, during work, etc during this 24 hour period. With the new 3x auto speed I actually find that I spent stamina pots more than I can gather them, so adjust accordingly.
- Enjoy the (almost) free additional gold/exp. I haven't been doing exp raids nor short in gold for over a year now.
- (In-between) save all the stamina sources again for the next popping. Enjoy your well-earned malrik runes rewards off of the farming as well. It's like a mini Xmas to me everytime.
With this, you'll maximize the % of stamina in 2x exp/gold mode for the long run.

Issue is almost all great nightmare units are dual factions and almost always better on the other side.

All the solo faction nightmare are literally all the powercrept ones except for Raizan and Volka (for utility). Even Hatssut is barely meta anywhere nowadays.

Sorry in consistent top 3 guild here and nightmare is trash tier. Literally never seen one even for top 64 gauntlet.
All I've seen is Arbiter, Chaotic, Cultist & Northener. Watcher & Esoteria is super niche and the rest are nowhere to be seen.
Your Rygar Toro Bayek Van Healer is purely physical based, no anti-heal and single healer is not enough to heal + cleanse. Any one of frozen / kirby / physical tank / stone boss will be ROFLstomping your comp np.

It's not a dumb question. Rather than waiting until Christmas (or vice versa), I'd rather that you evaluate each banner against your roster since everyone's is different.
There's seemingly great banner like Ingrid + Valara which is great for everyone but a skip for me since I alr have them to good awakening. Pick your own unit banners are likely though, so I'd save at least a few pity worth.

Nightmare is in such bad position because they spammed a gazilion of fighters that are barely unique from each other and then stopped, so they all got power crept together by now.
Literally the only new single target lego are Moriden and Raizan, and they're almost 1 year old. Other than that we get 2 carbon copies of GR3 left side in Van Helsing & Bayek (who are also better in piercer btw) and an epic lord, that's it.
It's also the faction that you can remove it entirely from the game and literally has no impact (0 meta in anything except 1 super niche codex which you can also use Northener in), so a lord in this faction is totally irrelevant until Moonton hopefully wake up in 2027. I'm assuming new lord for nightmare + piercer + greyblades, but that also makes Rygar irrelevant. In that case, either way Rygar will be irrelevant.

Well you're not meant to pull every banner too, not unless you're one of those omega whales.
Those pulling every ancient banner and those ranting for not having enough for every great banners like Christmas, anniversaries and collabs are often the same player base.

This is why I never pull on limited banner after the guarantee, and to only pull on 20x banners if I like both heroes (even then it's still below 50% for both heroes combined).
As others said, be prepared to spend 400-600 for 1 banner unit (sucks that we can't choose which to have though)

Got her on the 46th pull, so is 189th (into lord pity). Of course, I could just be lucky and got it before lord pity, so it doesn't prove either way.
The only way to prove it definitely is if I didn't pull any lord after 200th lord pull, and I'm glad is not the case haha.
War of the Fates / Ages event will count these as event points, which admittedly only matters if you're either aiming for top 100 or barely online within the 3 weeks event period to claim all the basic rewards.
