This is when you realize that pokemon has the rule of Pokemon battling. Why does someone like Giovanni just give up when he's beaten by a kid in a Pokemon battle etc. It's because humans are so incredibly powerful in the pokemon world that these things are really just a minor nuisance. There are people that can turn you into a doll and change reality around you, there are guys that can beat a machamp in a 1v1 with no problem. A dude who literally lives in a volcano with his fire pokemon. Ash casually takes fire and electricity to the face, has been bitten on the face by a totadile, been right next to an exploding execute. Tossed a 2000 pound tree, held a 2000 pound pokemon. The list goes on.

I love when this happens to me at work honestly since while at work I have an entirely fake personality and I give myself dialogue like an npc so I'll repeat the same thing over and over as if they keep pressing A at the pokemon center.
