I had an HR manager at a company tell me he intentionally never takes down job postings. He said with whatever subscription they had they could list 10 positions a month and he didn't want to not use all listings they paid for. He would skim through resumes that came in and any that looked good he kept until there was an actual opening.

It's only an issue if someone gets access to our repo. -s

Mike does a decent job correcting them. But it's clear Merrill's vision and memory is not what it used to be.

I always think I'm doing well then Gandhi launches a nuclear war against me because I chose the wrong religion.

Or buy a white noise machine

They were some papers and something something panama hats.

Lol no

Also I've seen signs like this (not this detailed) from parts of the world where "western" style toilets are not common.

Some projects use emojis in their names. In my experience they typically have good pay and a shared pool of tasks and disappear quickly.

I live in Philly and $15 for a mixed drink is pretty standard at a restaurant.

Wow. I just took the starter assessment and I swear I did everything right. But I haven't heard any email yet. Did I get in? -s

The Timex mk1 is about half the price and reviews are pretty good.

The more you train the less worried you are that you will be replaced.

But he has cononically bottomed before.

But didn't you hear about that guy in [insert country with socialized healthcare here] that had to travel to [insert another country in close proximity] because he couldn't get treatment? -s

Anyone I've ever talked to who has been against it pulls up some version of this story. Which isn't even that weird because people travel to different states to see specialists within the USA. And you hear stories about people go to other countries for treatment of rare diseases and experimental treatments here too. The other argument is always about illegal immigrants and hospitals being overrun. Anyone who has ever been to a hospital knows almost nothing moves fast, a few more people won't affect it that much. Also I'd rather everyone got medical care than suffer.

That's why I use a tubesock.

Every day baby

I've used "public" wifi like hotels while traveling or the gym. I don't do it regularly but have never had an issue. Others have noted that public networks may be in violation of worker guidelines for some projects and that some public networks use VPNs which can get you in trouble too.

My company has a recognition program where you get "points" when someone recognizes you. There is a company store where you can redeem the points for stuff. I have heard complaints from multiple employees that they can't get anything because the points don't cover the sales tax.

Before my grandmother passed she kept asking my mom, her daughter, where her daughter was. My mom kept telling her "I am your daughter" but my grandmother kept telling her "no my daughter is 12." Losing memories is terrifying and sad.

The NFL sells entertainment. I'm sure they have data that shows close games get better viewership, so they can charge more for advertisements. The NFL has incentive for games to be close. An easy way to do that is have the refs pay closer attention to the actions of the favorite.

Sometimes you annotate the data sometimes the data annotates you.
