Yep.  Nothin' like those 5-star complaint reviews.

They're most indicative reviews out there... At least when they get the same "D'aawww.  Thanks for the review!  We're glad you like the product/ service" reply all the other 5 stars get.

Granted, I, uh... I don't think that's really what you meant, though...

Affably_Disagreeable

Thanks for the notes from multiple people already about listed weapons being restricted to those I own.

And yeah, I brain-farted about Nicole's buffs scaling with her own ATK.

I think that combo explains this discrepancy pretty well.

Affably_Disagreeable

Yeah.  It's the only 5★ weapon I have of any class other than Exaiphanes; pulled randomly from a standard banner.

Affably_Disagreeable

Can't you lower your World Lv, though?  Or do you mean you want to be able to lower it even further and more freely?

Affably_Disagreeable

Pfft.  Speed runner!  I joined what?  6 or 7 months ago and am still in Inazuma!

😂 😂 😂

Affably_Disagreeable

As a casual f2p, yeah, I didn't get Inazuma until AR40/45/50, IIRC.

Not because I was going for 100%s, but I was just trying to open up as much of the map I could while accessing waypoints and easy combat chests and leveling up my main...

Aaand, to be honest, I also don't like the long dialogues of the story quests so much.  If dialogue scenes didn't require me selecting so many MC bubbles that don't affect the NPC dialogue, then it probably wouldn't be so bad for me, but...

Affably_Disagreeable

Don't even need to tell them "No", really, just carry the big stick.

Heck, you carry a big enough one and all the AI players will run to you for friendship declarations, research agreements and defensive pacts.

And even then, there'll still be one that declares war on you if you are approaching science, diplomacy or culture victory.

Affably_Disagreeable

Sounds a little like Anakin....

Affably_Disagreeable

Or be suffering from localized alopecia....

Affably_Disagreeable

This depends entirely on what you mean by "roots".

"Roots" = emotional connection tied to an ancestral location?  Then yeah.

"Roots" = emotional connection to a location for other reasons (eg: where you grew up, where you personally "planted roots" in young adulthood/ adulthood)? Not so much.

"Roots" = your label onto someone else "for them"?  Be careful before going down that slope.  That's a slippery one.

__ In context of fantasy games/ stories, just like real life, races are sometimes tired to a location and sometimes not, and sometimes only loosely so.

Affably_Disagreeable

Not gonna lie. My first thought was about the new element (Dendro) and reactions (lunar, stellar).  But then I saw you mentioned stats.

So, I guess my next thought is to ask if new stats are different enough from new elements and elemental reactions to you?

Affably_Disagreeable

When Hex cave or and old chars got buffed, I did call an HP-scaling damage buff coming soon for Noelle that would make The Bell (or whatever that irrelevant Claymore is called...) relevant.

The HP meta...

Don't teach the kiddies' side, so no, I haven't on Ringle. I have taught in other countries where the corporate onboarding literally included "if you see a local teacher hit a kid, don't do anything. The parents want them to" not just once but three times and all while knowing they were being recorded in a country where corporal punishment is illegal and highly stigmatized (but still 'normal' at home).

Will Ringle ever do anything about it? I'll put my money strongly on "No", even with a note.

Given it's now a few days since you posted, I'm curious how Ringle responded. Did they get on your case?

Affably_Disagreeable

You mean that we're actually able to see and review our contract/ Terms of Service after clicking "Accept"?

Affably_Disagreeable

Please no... I can only do 1 Stellar team (missed hard on Odette and iirc, only she and CMC can catalyze Stellar)...

Affably_Disagreeable

I like to think of it as something to keep in mind, whether it be about putting a city there or a Great improvement

Sometimes, I prefer the balance of resources from improving.  Sometimes, prefer improving it with a worker.

Affably_Disagreeable

Nuance to this is that you need the tech that unlocks to get it (at least in my experience), at least for luxuries and strategics.

For example, if you build on Truffles, you won't get access to it until you have Trapping unlocked.

It's technically the same for say coal, but you won't see that until it's unlocked anyway (unless there's a mod that reveals it early or map you've memorized)

Affably_Disagreeable

Casual gamer life advice right here.

Affably_Disagreeable

That said, one of the best places to get Crystal "manually" is right outside Monstadt and also has M. Crystal.

Though I think it's because I rarely craft with them, I just keep building a larger reserve for the if/ when I do just from going to the waypoint near those mines and Trounce Wolfie when I need something else in the area.

Affably_Disagreeable

Do you have the results from testing other sets? Also, what kind of rotation(s) did you try, particularly with different sets?

For me, I'm just curious about the spread.

Affably_Disagreeable

Both, how? The standard way one would from what I know is a sequence of
- get the free monuments in the Tradition branch
- have only 4 "core" cities
- build the Hermitage (could happen before having 4, but not necessarily)
- And then build more (perhaps spam if you've got the Happiness and other national wonders)

Affably_Disagreeable

Yeah. And you have to have a similar mindset. If an AI civ is running away with things through mid-game (common King and above), you'll have to start getting creative on ways to chip away at or outright knockdown the top-dog.

- Having a "weaker" force but dominate naval or air forces
- Being technically behind on tech count but only because you're speeding toward key Wonders/ military techs
- Signing a defense pact with AI A and then bribing AI B to attack A with Gold per turn (causing them to go to war with you *AND* A ... and not getting their GpT)

Affably_Disagreeable

I looked and even complained about not finding anything and was told essentially that we're expected to know without formal documentation on what they mean. The same went for the "Correction" vs "Discussion" vs "Balance"

Affably_Disagreeable

Swung and missed on my Odette 50/50.  At least I got Sucrose?

Kind of wondering if Razor + Fischl + CT + Sucrose would be viable even with two reactions, but that would mean no support.  Probably just the first idea I had, swapping CT in for Odette if I can't get her.

To be honest, any kind of 'coordinated' action that would be limited to this subreddit's population wouldn't likely have no effect. Even what would seem like massive actions such as the 2019 Uber Drivers' strike had none. Based on poll results, that's 40-50 tutors out of the "over 2000" they claim.

I would genuinely suspect they'd more likely just ban every one of them the could right away.

What would get them to actually pay attention and even start pissing themselves? A letter from a law firm threatening class action.

How to go about it? I've explored two avenues

  1. Be a taxpaying resident of a State or city in the US (perhaps the Brits over 21 can do so on their side of the pond, as well) that has a minimum wage over $16.00 per hour.
  2. Be willing to argue US federal law in how freelancers by definition and legal requirement *NOT* conducting the core functions of the company (like say... tutoring for a tutoring company). They are, by definition (supposed to be) contractors things not related to the services/ goods the company provides.

2a. CA residents have the easiest path here as their laws very explicitly name freelancers and only exclude Uber/ Lyft (rideshare) drivers... and they don't have to worry about which President is in office as much as someone attempting a federal-level claim.

Lawyers will generally consult on this for free and will take no cut until and unless their is a settlement or payout. The case would be about wage increases to meet minimum wage laws, lump-sum back-pay, plus W2 status over 1099 (including basic benefits including employer-contributed taxes and fed health benefits at >31.5 hours)
