Anyway, you don't like the movie, that's all good. It's not a masterpiece. But it's fun and I liked it. It's also flawed with a bad third act. Plus marketing is nonexistent. But animation is good and the main characters are adorable.

You clearly haven't interacted with a lot foreign nationals and it shows.

Without having seen how you actually coach your staff, I cannot say if he is a lost cause.
The only indication is his lack of independence while doing tasks. I would ask myself these questions:
1. Are those tasks for the promotion or dapat sa level nya?
2. Do I feel that the training is enough for him to perform those tasks?
3. Sya lang ba ang nahihirapan sa tasks na yun?
Being gen z or coming from affluence should NOT be factors for promotion. I would also ask myself these questions:
1. Are my standards higher kasi he comes from money?
2. Do I have a preconceived notion of how gen z employees act?
It's important to recognize biases din on our end. Kasi I find it quite frequently that people tend to put high importance sa generational labels (it doesn't matter one bit) and it affects how we interact with one another.
