Conte would go nuclear, Nagelsmann is nowhere near a safe bet, Emery/Simeone etc would be expensive and probably wouldn’t want it. Then you’re onto the likes of Eddie Howe who has experience but not proven at the top level.

This turf has seen some very bad football.

Seriously take your time setting out your first row. Make sure it’s centred properly and doesn’t run off to one side. This doesn’t necessarily mean perfectly square to any wall cos your walls are most likely on the wonk to come degree.

Once you’ve started, you’ll fly through the middle area of the room. The edges might be 10% of the area but take 80% of the time.

I’d recommend one of the cheap floor laying kits you can get from Amazon. Will include a tapping block, soft faced hammer and a pull bar - all very helpful for this job.

You can score and snap the boards but I found that quite hard work so used a jigsaw to make my cuts.

In isolation, I don’t think our window has been terrible. Centre midfield needed reinforcements badly and I think we’ve made three sensible signings at decent prices given the market. But when you look elsewhere in the league at what other teams have done, hard to not feel like we could get left behind. Felt like an opportunity to kick on this season but now looks like we’ll be clinging on to the champions league places.
