I know plenty of employed folks who pursue creative endeavours (music/art/movie making) as a hobby/side hustle. The arts isn't dying at all just look at the amount of creative content creators online.

I'd argue people can still reap the rewards of creativity but they need to seek other avenues of getting noticed (building a social media presence etc.) instead getting a drama degree from an obscure university and saying "hollywood pls".
