Well yea and there is some obvious things what points to this. It was noteworthy for example that Horner basically never noted Gasly name when he was having TV interviews with Sky and the AlphaTauri's are a point of discussion. No instead Horner called him almost always "that AlphaTauri". Also the clear distancing from that win in Monza while most RBR staff was just there and celebrated that win too somewhat. When Horner somehow was basically forced to even talk about Gasly with interviews his tone was always passive cold.

Another noteworthy thing was during those AutoHebdo interviews early this year where they done a huge amount of it about and with Gasly (to celebrate his 200th F1 entry). What we learned from that is that the relation with Helmut was and still seems to be fine, that his time with Newey was one of the few things he liked about RBR (!) but above all there was obvious one person who never was a topic, never get noted nor asked: Christian Horner.

There was already at begin 2019 that something happened between the end of pre-season testing and the first race and to be fair from what I did heard and read it didn't surprised me to see a driver sinking his confidence pretty quickly.

Honestly I think it would be an amazing read if Gasly would write a book about his F1 career once that path ends. Not only because of that time but more because the whole dynamic and career he has so far.

It doesn't help either that Gasly has some shit tier bad luck this season. Yesterday it wasn't that different again but he put an amazing job with putting that damaged car into P10.

It's almost bizarre how much common Lawson and Gasly having, expect Lawson was able to return at RBR for a bit because he didn't need to deal with a TP who hates him with a passion.

It's Vowles himself who talked since 2024 that the real jump forward for Williams would been in 2026.

Also holding both drivers instead of just continue with one of them (Sainz) is just ridiculous.

Well given the controversy about what happened at the last laps I found a way to settled it with a compromise: Add Jeff Gordon to the final race /s

So basically the same as what Lawson did with Gasly at lap 1 but never did get investigated for it

Ik sta echt te kijken hoe iemand zich zo druk kan maken om het bestaan van cruiseplekken. Die plekken bestaan gewoon vanwege redenen en vaak zijn die plekken vooral actief op plekken waarin niet te veel zicht is naar mijn weten.

So given we barely seeing some midfield action and things getting forgotten quickly it seems like Gasly pulled today a great effort in that Alpine for a top 10 result. Not only was the action Lawson done dubious at least at the first lap (I guess overtaking outside the track was allowed today?) but above that drama the odds turned quickly against him with Bearman doing a risky move what not only ruined it for Bearman but also damaged Gasly floor clearly if we look to the pictures now. And then if things can't get worse the Alpine pit crew lost the plot again today when it did matter.

So yea P10 is an amazing result despite the struggles today.

Well it didn't help also that Alpine did put a slow pit stop onto Gasly car + his floor was damaged by the contact with Bearman, otherwise we could possible having a good fight for P9 today.

Basically 2015 all over again.

So nobody is gonna put Williams on this list as ice cold not? I mean today was pure humiliation again, getting both cars behind Aston Martin is just a whole next level of shame given this team has the best PU.
