Certainly is the defining philosophical battleground of a communist system. Codified organizing of representation, not by spontaneous community organizing but through mandated objectives. Interesting.

Points deducted for lack of australiana cringe, points deducted for not having that air of volunteer working bee.

3 Stars.

Stand your ground old man.

Think MF probably rode the insane bubble, and is now picking through the bones, so he has lots to sell if the market heats up again.

As long as your not starving, tell him to FO! The market baring more inflation inducing tax policy changes, the market will settle to a price and there about it will sit.

As for this sockless piranha fish, you get nothing. Good day sir!

Pizza the Hut!

Feeding the top end doesn't work.

Neoliberalism is dead.

All hail Crypto-Fascism!

Altruistic-Pop-8172

Marvellous language. Could understand a word.

Something about small cars. And big Greg Valetta.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

Okay we'll start another one:

Israel is a genocide state.

Better?

Senator Cash threatened to name Female staff members who were rumoured to have been assaulted at Parliament.

Not support or counsel them.

Expose them.

For her own political point scoring.

Such a delight.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

I just don't get it.

People will drive hours to hear the ranting of a decrepit aging bigot. But wont travel 30 mins to visit an aging decripit bigoted family member in a nursing home.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

Oh not this again.

Once again, the BOM and its predecessors, used/ uses citizens to measure weather. They were asked to stick to a scientific process, but people are, people.

This is an attack on the egalitarian ethos that government work for and with people.

An attack on back shed engineers and citizen scientists.

I wont be having that!

Just when i thought i was going to read a whole article on Whyte Nation without a racial slur, out came the F word- foreigner. And the Red scare- Chinese. Both words are hard wired in the Australian lexicography so they are effective cornerstones to a political policy.

As much as i appreciate the sensible talk of limits on foriegn investment and the socialist hue of Australian government 'participation' in public ownership of infrastructure...

i smell a rat.

What i understand in this spice bag of ambitions, is a suspicion of state intervention in companies and the premise of only passive positions on the board.

If we take nuclear power plants as an example. Britain holds such type of arrangement in their newest nuclear build, Sizewell C. So the government is holding the bag for indemnity and the government legislates prices for power supply contracts. A long term inflated price, that is antithesis to market autonomy.

Both leave taxpayers exposed to massive risk.

I don't see anything new here.

What it is is a walkback position that sings to a level of zenophobic antagonism but would eventually whither to more foriegn ownership ( Except maybe China), but with a extra incentive of the government funding private investment- of foriegn companies. Think back to Pawlenes policy on gas and new exploration. Word for word, this. Where they open up more foriegn investment and the government funds it. Or more to the point Australian taxpayers do.

Nah, this is not serious attempt at public ownership of critical infrastructure. Its a picked fight with China; ignoring the other foreign investors that work against the Australian public interest; see LNG exports. And a promise to use the Future Fund and even mandate where Super fund can invest; to making the Australian taxpayer liable for the exposure usually borne by private companies.

This is the worst of both world foreign ownership policy. But it has whistles. Dog whistles, so it may resonate.

So when you're upsetting all the right people, your doing okay.

This is what political courage looks like. To upset one of Murdochs biggest clients? Come on.

The residential real estate market has been a feeding frenzy for years, and concessions on your obligation to tax has super primed it. Plus it drained investment funding away from workplace infrastructure for over a decade.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

"We'll be selling a lot more oil ...because their infrastructure was no good..."(sic)

The reason for the invasion, was not not drugs and certainly not democracy.

American oil interests were unwilling to work withe Venezula in a nationized system

Even in an corrupt system

They want it all. And are prepared to spend American taxpayer dollars to get,

all of it.

So Sooty wants the top job? The question is, can he claw back the revenue from donors that is going to Whyte Nation?

Because that's the real battle here.

Who can bend over furthest for the Minerals Council.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

So maybe broke federal law but not state law?

Altruistic-Pop-8172

GTA in the real world.

No consequences. No wonder.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

ScoMo is that you?

So back to the 2022 feeding frenzy that kept kids out of the auctions because they couldn't compete with investors. But, add early access to Super for house deposits. So more heat to the market!

We've seen this movie before and hated it.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

Who loves the idea of mass migration because it increase the labour pool putting pressure on wages and conditions; and the only concession being legal protections, otherwise they'd be just guest workers?

Trillionaires.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

Machines as tools.

Any change in that relationship is supersedure.

Any form of autonomy or self promotion past the relation to the tool owner is a step towards species sovereignty.

And any species that doesn't rely on the same biological anchors that we all share, is existentially on a path to domination.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

He should sack Malcolm Turnbull. Oh wait. He's long gone.

The problem is not in this contract in isolation, but the nature of private tender for government contracts. They are designed to reward failure. Go over schedule? No problem. Get the cost estimation way off? No problem.

Big ticket items should go to public companies. Designed to exist only until the completion of the project. And for private contractors? Go over time? You wear that. Go over price? You wear that.

Truth in contracting. That's all i'm asking for.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

Why are Aluminium manufacturing plants on energy reliance agreements, yet other large commercial sites not asked to? Either be energy self sufficient or be blocked.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

The technology-yes. A private carrier- yeah, sure. This company and this owner- No.

This man is not a reliable partner in any commercial venture. And could only breed instability and uncertainty because of his prior history of withdrawing services based on personal beliefs.

Not a serious commercial partner.

When the government inflates a market with inducements, that favour speculation over productivity, no government should allow it let alone defend it.

And this is the investment/productivity hole we find ourselves in.

Altruistic-Pop-8172

Basically its will become a nuclear waste dump for the world navies and a base for American, nuclear submarines. With tactical nuclear missiles that they will never disclose if they have on board while in harbor.

And before we might have been a third round target for a nuclear strike. Well guess what, we just went racing up the charts. So it would be:

Kyushu,

Okinawa,

Singapore,

Perth,

San diego.

Nice one Australia.
