Ahh. Thank you.

AltyGrae

So what is it on? A boxcar? A trash can?

AltyGrae

Actually get to level 10 in Ingress. Not as hard as 12 but you do have to work for it. At 12 you can join Wayfarer (provided you pass the test).

AltyGrae

Yeah that can be tough. Especially for the other NIA games. But ingress seems to like any church abandoned or well maintained. May take some drives in the countryside to find locations. We have really small towns here that are two “blocks” square and folks manage to find at least a couple POI’s.

AltyGrae

The sign would be rejected probably because of no parking for safe access. You said it yourself with “not a place anyone would walk to”.

As to POI just take your time and work your way through town finding churches, the real Post Office, City Hall, old (commercial) buildings with “Registered Historic Building” plaques, parks, public art, town clock...Etc. Etc. Etc.

Also didn’t realize there was a second picture. It does take all kinds and, you should admit, it’s a creative submission.

AltyGrae

I did say can be. Obviously the submitter has not been introduced to the ancient and subtle art of Shuffle Board.

AltyGrae

My point is that it wasn’t in the correct location in the first place. Also we’re dealing with a lot of reviewers unfamiliar with portal placement and how to review.

AltyGrae

I have no idea. So far I’m staying in the green.

AltyGrae

Where it was placed would have gotten it rejected as a duplicate as it was pretty much on top of another portal for a basketball gym. Bowling alley was in the next building. I swear some people take the photo then drive off and submit when they park. And don’t bother with the two times NIA/Wayfarer asks them to verify location.

AltyGrae

Actually shuffleboard can be quite popular. Consider it similar to any sports field.

AltyGrae

Need to talk to corporate about sponsorship.

AltyGrae

Hit unable to find FAST!

AltyGrae

The one bowling alley I’ve reviewed was located is a totally wrong location. Rated it highly but moved the pin to the correct location. Hoping other reviews do the same.

AltyGrae

Looks good to me and if the marks shown on the map have signs describing a feature or flora/fauna they would be good as well. But submit photo spheres to Google maps before submitting those. And be sure to show the area around the signs in a way that shows the trail. (IMO)

AltyGrae

So up toward Traverse City?

AltyGrae

I know some players in Mt Pleasant. Is that any where near you?

AltyGrae

I suspect our FS leader will have something special lined up for this date. He did a “May the fourth be with you.” banner for that FS. He also used a WWll photo for the invite.

AltyGrae

Are you showing the path itself in your “location” photo? That’s about all I can think of for rejection. Especially if there isn’t very good Google Maps of the area. I would back away far enough for both the mile marker and the pergola to show up in the shot along with the bike path. Also since some reviewers might not be familiar with the area give the starting and end points of the path in the additional information. Try it again and good luck. I’d give it 5* as it is.

AltyGrae

That is amazing. Love watching you make this happen.

AltyGrae

I play with a group and am involved with some team events but it’s me versus me in the stats department. No way can I compete with folks that started with beta. Guess I don’t feel the need to follow stats other than my own.

AltyGrae

What’s the purpose/use if these sites? Why would one want to join them? Why shouldn’t one join them? Discuss?

AltyGrae

My Midwest semantics. Bubblers are continuous flow. And yes drinking fountain is more accurate.

AltyGrae

Ummm no. It has no cultural or historic value. It’s not art. It’s not the ballfield. It’s a generic water fountain.

AltyGrae

What’s the portal just below the bus stop? I know it’s not supposed to affect our ratings but this one seems sketchy.
