I mean it's a combo of him playing in NY, his goofy personality, his insane playing style, and that he's a white RB.
AngryUncleTony
Look at the flair lol
AngryUncleTony
Yeah grouping us with the Saints seems silly. We punted a single year, had a huge draft class that's getting a ton of reps this year and have a shitload of cap next year.
Completely different situations

Especially a fourth round pick that is probably not going to play his way into a second deal, or at least not a big one. It's not like he has top 5 rookie scale money.

Tony explains this to Chris I think about the different earning power of Carmine and John after John asks them to whack Carmine. He specifically talks about Carmine having other income streams.
AngryUncleTony
Chris recognized him in the room, he was fucked no matter what.

This dude lived with him mom and was a college drop out without a real job. He had no money, and any cash that he had was going to go quick.

I do find it very funny that a charming but grating player being slandered by an elitist franchise/media market got traded to us, because that's basically a perfect match between a player and a charming but grating fanbase with an inferiority complex.

I mean Robert Hunt was a stud, we just couldn't afford to pay him
AngryUncleTony
Physically he jumps out on the screen. His stride is like 2x as long as Washington's on his long TD.
AngryUncleTony
Wasn't he famously not a leader? Like a solid dressing room presence but he was never made captain for a reason.
AngryUncleTony
To be fair though that Bowman reaction of complete disgust to the guy falling is an all timer, so it's arguably worth it.

He's in the "makes other linemen look small" class of human.

The high achieving self-critical trap is a real one. You have high standards for yourself which pushes you to do well, but you are very critical of yourself when you fail to meet what goals you set. That self-criticism can get dark very quickly if you keep your focus turned inwards on your own (perceived) failings for long enough.
AngryUncleTony
Probably, I just hate to break up that dominant left side.

Jackson is a free agent, we either need to draft an immediate starter like Proctor or get a stopgap while the second or third day pick develops.
AngryUncleTony
For sure, but two arguments there.
First, they spent a fortune during the initial post SAF decade while having a huge financial advantage, they just spent horrifically and failed to get results.
Second, today they are in a tough financial spot. They generate a ton of revenue but have obscene expenses and need to finance a stadium. So the chickens of that wasteful decade have come to roost, while their advantage over other clubs has eroded.
AngryUncleTony
I'm too dumb to evaluate whether a high pressure rate without a ton of sacks is good or not. I think it is because we've had guys like Vernon and Phillips go get big contracts elsewhere for doing that.
AngryUncleTony
I mean fire Wilcox but until the financial shackles of the Glazers are gone any executive is going to struggle
AngryUncleTony
This season has been fun so far all things considered getting to watch a young team with no expectations, so not having to hear about 0-17 the rest of the year means it's all gravy from here.
AngryUncleTony
Rivalry and salary cap aside, this team has been competitive in every game. I've seen worse Dolphins teams, let alone worse teams in history

Don is absolutely not a murderer the way the other two are.
And he's wired very differently from Ww, who chose to become a criminal, since WW chose to become a criminal because of a massive interiority complex. Don is driven by different things.

Buddy Hield is from an old quote about him.
Certainly sounded like it, I was like wow what a dick
