ApolloHader
...bandolier? seriously? that item blows lol, even on the two characters that can use it
ApolloHader
44 is a really low estimate
ApolloHader
The answer to this is STFU about how everyone else is playing. I will minmax, leave me tf alone
ApolloHader
"most of us agreed" plz stfu
ApolloHader
only 1 of these is actually that strong
ApolloHader
shaman is uber lame
ApolloHader
Possibly Tauren Hunter, but maybe Skyborne to start levelling with a friend. Also Undead Pal and Orc or Undead Mage are very high on my list as well
ApolloHader
dude are you okay

What evidence do you have that any specific changes, balance or otherwise, were made BECAUSE of streamer feedback? So not a change that everyone, including streamers, were calling for, a change that only/primarily streamers were calling for.
I think the online-posting part of the WoW community just has an unnecessary blanket hate boner for everyone who streams. And before anyone says anything, no I'm not defending that fucking Nazi on Alliance. Content creators can be annoying, sure, but there's no evidence that they actually have influence. If not for this subreddit, I wouldn't be aware of any tournaments, streamer complaints, apparently streamer-influenced (lol) balance changes, any of that, and I've played a shitload in the beta. It's almost like they don't actually affect the game on this deep level that people act like.
You all just like scapegoats and attacking people that you've decided are the bad guys.

What if what I like to play to have the most fun is something that has viable DPS for raids? Asking if Ret Pal falls into that is a legit question.
ApolloHader
Not in Jinto. Only Pantra
ApolloHader
There should be TONS of mounts, and every single one should be huge grind, like Exalted rep or 1% raid boss drop rate MINIMUM. Horizontal progression is chase gear, especially cosmetics
ApolloHader
Everyone on this subreddit is all gung-ho about "let me play my way, I don't want to min-max!" Which is fine, play your way.
But why then do I see 15+ posts every damn day saying some version of "I hate all these minmaxers that are trying to level too fast! That's not how I want to play so they suck"? The hypocrisy of the people that post here is very odd. I fully intend to rush to endgame in Nov. I am not going to read a single piece of quest dialogue, I will have a RestedXP guide if possible, etc. because I find that really fun! Optimizing, minmaxing, raiding on raid release (or close to it) as geared as possible is my favorite part of a WoW release. The slower stuff is awesome, and I will do that on an alt eventually. But man, everyone wants "play your own way" to be the thing, then let it be the thing BOTH WAYS.
ApolloHader
"tryharding"
Farming for good gear is part of the game, and is fun. Because you farm by playing. And playing the game is fun. This subreddit loves to hate on the optimizers ("let us play our own way") then be hypocrites about it. Let optimizers play their way.
ApolloHader
The entire Raider Ascendancy class

I get Reddit's whole thing is a hate boner for all content creators, which is deserved about ~25% of the time, but this one is a little funny. "A group with coordination beats a hastily created one without coordination!" ...yeah man, that's how that works.
And don't think I'm defending the streamer you're clearly referring to here, fuck that Nazi.
ApolloHader
Isn't that a good thing? Seems like SD=better is the prevailing sentiment, at least in this sub.
What's your source for that? Just curious how the scenario of a streamer and dev came about
ApolloHader
Genuine question. what evidence do you have that WoW Forever has had undue influence from streamers so far? Yes they're public and loud and draw attention and all, and the devs say they hear streamer's feedback, but that doesn't mean the devs are actually implementing streamer-specific feedback.
I've seen a lot of communities react to ANY change they don't like with "it's those damn streamers!" with zero backing behind that other than "I hate streamers because of [no discernible reason]". I'm not trying to read all that negativity into your post, just trying to make sure that we aren't in the first steps of that here.

I loved how the SoD runes allowed for some crazy "off-role" stuff. Rogue and Warlock tank specs were really good for at least one of the phases iirc, which was just really interesting. I understand the overall SoD rune powercreep, and I know class identity would be very much in jeopardy, but the classes were still unique imo. Having a Warlock tank was still different than having a Warrior tank.
That being said, just Dual Spec at 20 would be nice for similar reasons. I plan to be a Prot Pally main tank, but for solo questing stuff Ret talents would be nice, and I'm too broke to be respeccing between dungeons and questing.
ApolloHader
This is one of the relatively few fundamental differences between Melvor and OSRS. You have to spend prayer points to get XP, not just bury stuff
ApolloHader
WoW Forever should be FULL of transmogs achievable in-game. There should be chase cosmetics EVERYWHERE, that is one of the best methods of horizontal progression and player retention in an MMO.
ApolloHader
Man all the Paul Tassi hate is undeserved, you people are all just weird.
Fuck Aztecross tho that guy is weird and kinda awful.
ApolloHader
Unfortunately full looting at the expense of the timer is generally a bad idea for RoRR. Enemy health becomes a bigger issue much faster, and items don't powerspike you near as much or as consistently. ~Half a stage of loot and a fast TP will win you runs far more consistently than full looting, unless you manage to full loot very quickly.
"someone else had the idea first!" ...okay? the idea still is boring and lame lol
