Captain is bait. Does nothing for you if you have a karthus or hook already, and in the case you have one of those on board already, you’re just blowing past your hook targets. It’d be nice to make both of those more consistent, but technically you shouldn’t be relying on those two every single game in the first place.

It just presents a different game plan, and maybe certain decks it does really well against but sometimes it just doesn't do anything at all. I've seen pack decks brick a lot because even after discarding my whole hand, my next 2 draws are units and I can still conquer because all they have in hand is a bunch of stuff to make me discard. Maybe that's unfun to other people, and I get it, but its better than facing a master yi for the 3rd time in a row or Irelia imo.

Wouldn't count on it. Especially when they had a set amount for the sake of serialized cards. Its most likely a mistake.

Its cope. Idk if its necessarily better or worse irelia, but it just won an online tournament. Small tourney with decent prizing, but I think its enough to say its a good deck at the very least. People will call it heron slop because heron is a card you can seemingly throw in a lot of green decks and its just good. Not that every green deck is running it tho. People just like to hate.

Also build what you want. Don’t let other people discourage you from having fun with whatever deck you play. Anyone getting mad over what they play against is a them problem.

Dunno where I'd look for a list that I'd trust, but you could just replace her signature gear with boots of swiftness. I know people are testing heron-less builds as well. People are talking about it in the community discord every day so that could be a place to start
