It has multiple systems in place, but they're fairly one-note and repetitious in regard to design philosophy IMO. You can stack boxes, there are electric panels that you can shoot that will cover the floor if you spray the area with water, you can cover the floor with oil, turn turrets friendly with codes, sneak all you want, etc. It's solid but not remarkable, plus the game runs out of new locations 2/3rds of the way through and some fairly annoying backtracking via specific rooms that can be hard to remember.

He's obsessed with changing names to have a "lasting" impact since he's very concerned with his legacy. It's all very stupid, but he was a dumbass decades ago, so he's even more of a dumbass in his 80s
AsherFischell
Oh no, not a whole year. How could anyone ever
AsherFischell
So it did or didn't completely kill Switch emulator development?
AsherFischell
I'm not so sure. I mean, Eden is one such emulator and now it's. . . being used to run Switch 2 games? Is that not a major breakthrough?
AsherFischell
Saves their bottom line from. . . what? Emulation and decomps don't put a dent in sales and your comment seems to imply that you don't actually know that. So you're trying to predict the future based on a complete misunderstanding of the situation and that's all
AsherFischell
And what did they accomplish by going after the people that made Yuzu? It changed nothing, it just wasted a lot of time and money to make a point that went totally ignored
AsherFischell
I think he's asking why you didn't backport PS3 features into the PC version

"The magical meat element" aka talent and inspiration, two things that are impossible for AI to have. Art is valuable because it's expression, it allows human beings to express themselves through a medium and say something with it. AI takes that, steals the pieces, and then reuses them. That's not art and no amount of pretending or false equivalencies will make it so.
AsherFischell
Why, because you want to eat it if I do? You clearly love shit if Hayden Christensen's shit acting is so important to you that you say insane things like that. Pretty gross, dude.
AsherFischell
RE3R and it's not close. Rev 2 is one of the lowest points in the franchise. Say what you will about 3R, but at least it looks and play like RE instead of an ugly, crummy generic horror game with the worst environments in the entire series.
AsherFischell
"But from all that I've gotten the grasp of over the years of knowing about it, I ended up finding this to be a lot more faithful than I expected it to be." More faithful than you expected to. . . a game you haven't played. Why even post this, man?
AsherFischell
You'll swear off absolutely everything an actor's in because he touched on a topic in an iffy way a single time? A guy that asked people to boycott Russian goods because of their anti-gay laws? I really don't understand this "you're either 100% with me or you're garbage" mindset, but it's not helping anybody.
AsherFischell
Are you willfully misunderstanding or is it somehow an accident?
AsherFischell
Over 10 upvotes and you misremembered the movie entirely. People upvoting something without even having a clue if it's true or not smh
AsherFischell
"It was the first real-time strategy" Yeah, he's ragebaiting. The first RTS games date back to the early 80s. Command HQ wasn't even one of the first 25 RTS games to ever release. Also it came out in 1990, so Petersen got the year wrong too. Also the game sold 75,000 units by 1993, another thing Petersen was wrong about that would have taken seconds to double check

Not someone saying "don't be dumb" while sharing the absolute dumbest take imaginable. Humans have made creative, original art going back to our inception. Yes, they take inspiration from things, but they don't literally copy the way that AI does. AI cannot create anything original, it literally trains itself on data and regurgitates things that already exist. If you think those two things are actually remotely comparable, then there is literally no hope for you in this regard.
AsherFischell
To be clear, almost the entire fandom is centered around Evil Dead II. It's one of the best movies ever made and almost single-handedly carries the entire franchise.
AsherFischell
Art is intrinsic to human nature. Humans have always created art, so tech that steals and regurgitates lifeless iterations of said art feels like an affront on a basic level. The appreciation for coding, on the other hand, is not existent to anywhere near the same degree of course.
AsherFischell
AI is still so terrible at scraping info that it's honestly not even funny at this point.
AsherFischell
And the input lag is that bad? Surprising and disappointing
AsherFischell
Which console did you play it on?

It's not a huge expose, the accounts are actually quite brief. In the above accounts, he himself apologized for shoving someone into a bathroom and forcing her to watch him. The blind item, which contained more detail than the listed interview item, also mentions similar behavior. They're not the only things that corroborate this. There's clearly more to the events than the one expose.
AsherFischell
The classics are less reflexy and more about positioning
I was hoping for the same but, nah, it's very much We Made an Indie System Shock 2 and not much more
