Thank you so much, It's hard losing everything. I really appreciate you helping me. I'll make sure to do a thank you post, I promise.

Thank you! I agree I don't understand why the gentleman wouldn't keep the dam up to date knowing it could destroy so many lives If it failed!

Thank you for helping me, I wasn't really sure what to put in my wishlist so it's mostly personal hygiene products and things for my daughter she is taking it very hard. She lost everything all her toys the pictures of her dad. She is 4 and don't really get it.

Thank you for the links! I'll look into them more. My daughter and I managed to grab a bag full of our clothes but not much else.

I have done both, Almost a week ago I put in a application is it normal for it to take this long? Also what exactly could FEMA do to help me? I'm a little confused on that. Will they help build on the foundation of what was the house I lived in?

Asiure

Red cross told me they basically couldn't do anything but help us with a motel, they also gave us a 25$ JCP gift card.

I owned part of the duplex. I bought it the begining of the year. I had insurence but I didn't think I needed flood because we were not in the flood plain.

Asiure

Thank you. Yes, That's how I knew to call red cross and they would pay for a hotel for a couple of weeks while we look for a place to stay more permanently.

Asiure

I've been debating on it. I'm waiting for a FEMA repersentive to call me back. The house is damaged beyond repair, We lived in a duplex.

Hello, I'm a single mother, To a beautiful 4 year old girl. I work but because of covid things are really tight. Due to being part time I can't get under-employment. Even though I'm working less then 14 hrs a week.

I could use the money to help pay rent and other Bill's. Thank you.

(I also help whenever I can)

My daughter looked me dead in the eye yesterday and told me "I am not cut out to be a big sister." I'm a widower and am in no way looking to date. I laughed it off and asked her where she heard that. And she goes "Dad told me."

I still get goose bumps thinking about it. Sean and I were talking about having another baby before he passed. I wonder if she heard a conversation about it and remembered.

Anyways. Alice's list is called Alice.

I'd hide my egg in the dishwasher because no one else knows how to use it. Lol

Happy birthday! She sounds like such a sweet girl.

I've been sick, And staying at the hospital for about a week no human contact except to have my blood drawn and tested.(Covid-19) and food brought to me.

Everyday my daughter would send me pictures of drawings she made for me and get well cards! I cried over every single one of those pictures! I'm so excited to see her next week! (I sent her to my MIL as soon as the pandemic started I'm an "essential" worker)

Fantasy!

I used to read books to my old neighbor every wensday and Friday

When I was 12 we moved to Michigan and my elderly neighbor asked me to read a card for him. I went over and asked him can't he read? And he told me his eyes didnt work to good anymore but he used to love reading stories.

So 12 year old me went home grabbed the new book my mom tried to force me to read I think it was called the thief lord and read it front to back. It took 2 weeks but we did it. And the next week I asked my mom to take me to the library so I could pick a new book to read to Mr Linth.

Mr Linth helped grow my love for reading!
