Fairly difficult. You have to apply very early (different schools start at different times of the year), get a good score on the GRE, and get lots of shadowing and clinical experience. Good grades and undergrad are important, but in my opinion, it’s mid priority.

For a two year degree, it’s a great choice. Same with a nursing degree is you know how to work the market to maximize pay and CoL/location opportunities.

If you want to go a step further, you can get a masters degree to become a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant and make $300k+.

Getting into school is hard, but it’s one of the shortest paths to make that kind of salary.

Ever thought about doing locum? I don’t know how significant the pay increase and tax advantage would be, but it seems like a pretty good. We have 2-3 locum Cardiac docs here

This is just anecdotal. All the men I’ve met that are 9s and 10s usually settle down with a girl that’s a 7-8 but has an amazing 10/10 personality. Which in and of itself is a jackpot.

However, conventional attraction varies when it comes to men. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. Men who are financially well off increase their own attractiveness significantly in the eyes of women looking for a partner. So the 9-10/10 women are almost always with lesser attractive, but very wealthy
