My brother in law moved in with is and I threw a welcome party for him. I invited all our family and friends in the area including one of my closest friend and her new boyfriend.
I had met him once but I wasn't his biggest fan, but I thought perhaps he was awkward and shy and decided the party could be a good way to get to know the guy.
He spent the night making racist remarks about our traditional food and rubbing up against my friend all night inappropriately. There were children at the party mind. Then after the party I found out he said something inappropriate to my 16 year old niece. I told my friend that not only was he never allowed in my home again, but if I saw him even once I would not hesitate to punch him and would gladly face the consequences.
She went on to date him for another year before he cheated on her with an 18 year old girl he groomed. Mind you we are all in our mid 30's.

Sadly this is why I changed my name on DoorDash to a male name. I no longer have issues like this, which is a different kind of infuriating.

Definitely! But sadly, my husband and I have suffered a lot of loss. We're taking a step back right now and looking into adoption.

My aunt is like this and my mom enables it a lot. She's lived in my mom's home for 20 years and has never worked or paid rent. She insists on tagging along to trips, fully paid by my parents. My mom says she can't just throw her out. Anyway, my point is that this level of entitlement doesn't come from grief, it's something that her family enabled throughout her life and she has now come to expect from everyone. Your aunt is not going to stop, so my solution has been to grey rock and just not give my aunt anything. She's cold to me, slams doors when I'm visiting and rarely speaks to me, but that's fine, I'm good with that.

Girl, I will horf down a bag of shredded cheese on a whim. My toilet hates me.

Little dishes around all the sinks and near my make up table for my jewelry. It's made a world of difference.

Yeah, I had to get mine resized recently because I lost weight and my fingers got smaller. My wake up call was from almost losing it in an airport bathroom during a work trip! But even after resizing it still moves around a bit, however any tighter and I wouldn't be able to get it on my finger so I'm not too sure what I can do.

Not only did it cut down the food noise, I was also able to nearly reverse my PCOS. Sure, there are risks, but the reduction of my fatty liver, PCOS symptoms, prediabetes has been more than worth it.

So, no NTA.
But please stop paying for your sister and everyone else and put down some boundaries.
My mom has been letting her youngest sister walk all over for her decades. That woman is married and refuses to live with her husband in our home country, so she just stays at my parents house, rent free. She doesn't cook, clean or do anything but help herself. She makes my mom, a cancer patient no less, drive her all around town, buy her everything and pay for whatever she wants.
Please don't be like my mom. People like your sister and my aunt don't give a damn about their loved ones, just about themselves.

I disagree about Los Cabos as a whole. Cabo San Lucas is definitely a party town and is kind of grimey. But my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed San Jose Del Cabo. The art, history, shopping and food were amazing. We spent most of our time there and chatted up a lot of locals, took a historical tour of San Jose, went whale watching with a marine biologist who was off for Christmas break and went to a farm to table restaurant that had an amazing shopping scene. Not to mention the wonderful art scene! So, no I disagree that Cabo is useless, it's quite wonderful actually.

I've worked in the film industry in the past and that's something I've consistently noticed, a lot of actors have very large heads. Ryan Gosling and Simu Liu were two that stood out.

Yep. I would get harassed a lot before I changed my name on Doordash. My breaking point was a man trying to physically enter my apartment to 'help' drop the food off. It wasn't until I called for my husband that he stopped. That's when I changed my name to a male name. Haven't had issues since.

Different shoes and iron your pants. Good luck!

Depending on how old the kids are, this may be some really bad post partum depression that needs to be looked into asap.
Aurora_B
Yeah this is why I changed my name on DooDash to a male name. I haven't had issues since.
My tipping point was when a man tried to enter my home "to help" even though I said leave at the door. It wasn't until I called my husband over that he stopped.

Aww so precious 💕

Yep, 100% this. My husband's family gave me a large oversized ring I barely wear. But my husband bought me a beautiful moissanite solitaire that I wear daily. That being said my mother in law did give me a very cute silver diamond ring for our engagement and that I do wear! I tend to swap out my silver and gold jewelry regularly. :)

My claustrophobia could never.

So, this kind of sucks cause I'm with the movement to boycott Tesla, but the kind of hate my husband and I are getting just driving around the city is insane. We paid off the car years ago and it's the only car both me and my husband have. Not only is selling an issue, I just lost my job so paying for another vehicle is just out of the cards right now. We live in the East Bay so we definitely need a car.
On Sunday, we drove past a protest and I cheered in support and instead we got some guy trying to punch our car. Like I get it! I understand the frustration! But we're not the enemy, we're on your side, but it's not that easy to just sell your vehicle and buy a different one on a whim.
I just feel helpless with the whole situation.

Does anyone remember Polyvore? It was basically an appointment/website that let you do this. It was great.

Every 10 years, I get an itch to get bangs. Every 10 years whichever hairdresser I go to tells me something like "Um... Are you sure?" And I will say yes, and they ask again and I will respond, annoyed, yes this is what I want. And every 10 years I hate my hair for 3 months.
