It's not perma haste btw it's 15 seconds of 30% once every 2 minutes (that's with the 1 hour buff to make it go from 15 to 30%)

AustereSpoon

Can you say more about why? Does it affect GCD also? I thought not. Isn't it a single extra attack every 2 minutes of continuous attacking? Surely that's not the biggest DPS increase...

AustereSpoon

I read it as a change to what happens when you interact with the ley line or elemental line on the ground. Instead of the old thing you simply get the 1 hour buff to your 15 seconds out of every 2 minutes thing.

For alliance sky elf this means even with the 1 hour buff you are just back to what the racial was at the start of beta where it's 100% mana for 15 seconds and it was bad then now it takes more steps to be equally as bad. Seems like nerfs to me.

Have never played WoW before (my dialup was too trash in 04-06, and never tried after that)

I was pretty sure I was going to love Shaman. Levelled one up, was OOM constantly at 20 still while spamming water shield. Decided it just might not be for me, tried Blue Druid instead since I have beta access might as well.

100% rolling NE Druid to start. Feels so much better solo questing and playing, feels like I could have every tool in the toolbox (If I remembered how to use them and when)

AustereSpoon

I don't know enough to know this is a real question not a joke, isn't Feral Druid also going do the same big 2 handers?

AustereSpoon

Wait there's a leather working kit that adds spell damage? Where do I get that? Or is it not in beta?

AustereSpoon

They undid that as people were making 40 man raids all with skinning and then pulling 40x the amount of skills out of WC or something

AustereSpoon

I love it but also every time I'm like "Thank God that didn't get a penalty of some kind and ruin everything"

AustereSpoon

I'm brand new and these are the two I have tried the most as well and Shaman definitely seems to fit the bill.

My best advice (actual players might fix or whatever) is start hard in the Resto tree until you get the water shield and make sure to spam the hell out of that thing so it's constantly on you want to be getting mana back constantly or else you're going to drink gallons of iced milk and melon juice. Mana was the most annoying thing about Shaman for me, and Druid handles resources much better so j started Shaman and am leaning druid basically exactly opposite of you! Good luck and have fun dude!

I'm pretty sure they mean "People who are fully geared in StrStam stuff and fully specced into tank talents make it way to easy on early dungeons" and that they would rather have a feral Cat or Ret Pally specced person just try and tank in their DPS gear thus taking more damage and keeping the healing way more interactive and fun for them.

AustereSpoon

That's not a lot different from "Auto Attack but also Fnova every 10 seconds forever"

AustereSpoon

Surely there could be dissenters with directionally aligned goals but different approaches within the ranks.

(I just want non dwarf alliance shaman plz!)

AustereSpoon

We simply don't know how important the new crafting options will be right? This will be my first time playing the game ever in any way. I've lived Shaman altho wish it had non dwarf options for the alliance but at least it has an option.

Anyway I am torn as skinning and LW seem like the natural fit for me, but Herbalism / Alchemy or Bags and Enchanting feel like it would help cover this enases and I really only need to buy gear occasionally. Would I be better off to just buy the random leather things I need or specialize into LW? I'm really struggling with what will be the most helpful long term for my character and don't want to "mess up" by picking a proof that becomes obsolete or useless after I've invested time in it. I'm not trying to min max, but as a dad with a full time job I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time basically.

AustereSpoon

Yea I was shocked that the lvl 10 get a fire totem quest is actually like two or three lvl 14 quests in a lvl 10 trench coat lol.

As I later learned, fire totem without nova doesnt really do much anyway unless I am doing it wrong so not a huge loss. Im just having fun rock biter bonking stuff to death.

Something feels bugged with the Trogg aggro on that reagent pouch island tho, shit was wild.

AustereSpoon

I'm in exactly this boat and I've put like 20 hours into the beta already, never played a second of WoW before. This is definitely the way. If you don't wanna test stuff in beta just wait till November.

AustereSpoon

Back stab them with... Checks notes... A crit Mace!

AustereSpoon

Seriously. Or Nelf. Either please! I really like Shaman and this will be my first time ever playing WoW but man I hate dwarves... Probably going to just go Sky or druid instead just so I'm not a beer barrel with legs.

AustereSpoon

Night Elves can also be alliance shamans. I really want to play a Shaman but not a dwarf or gnome.. Plz tall Shamans!

AustereSpoon

Wait if you have a profile with fingerprint setup you dont need a digital key or physical key with you at all?

AustereSpoon

The real answer is for those people the alcohol has killed their liver, so they need juice to clean things up instead!

AustereSpoon

I'm not totally sure how you liked TQ but didn't enjoy Grim dawn seeing as it's the same core team, same engine, same system etc. maybe give it a try again with the new expansion recently?

Also, PoE 2 is going to be free to play early December and has vastly improved graphics and a streamlined new after experience that doesn't need a PhD to get thru, and while most people are annoyed by the campaign's length, it sounds like you would love it. You should easily get 40+ hours out of a solo playthru

AustereSpoon

Actual mileage is relative and doesn't matter convert it to cents per mile. At the guys rate above its 10 cents per mile electric, at 5 dollars a gallon and let's say your car is getting 25 miles per gallon that's 20 cents per mile. Adjust your math as necessary. If you drive 300 or 3000 miles per month you still have to buy the propulsion for those miles and that math you can check.

AustereSpoon

Yea its called Passenger Talk or something, you can set it to the {STAR} shortcut also I think if you use it a lot. Great for making sure all the kiddos hear you.

AustereSpoon

Everything just ends up feeling kinda soulless and samey. It's been a minute and the premise is fun so there is probably mods that fix stuff but I haven't given it a go since like 6 months after release

AustereSpoon

From your keyboard to God's ears my friend.
