Thanks! I already use the reminder schedules and shared depth/deferred targets. The tricky part has been ordering the SDF shadow passes against bevy’s. Is there an example you’d recommend for custom passes that write into existing depth and shadow textures?
Autarkhis
I’ll probably look into migrating this weekend.. with that said , I’m building an historical strategy game with raymarched SDF cities and conventional terrain/unit meshes sharing depth, lighting and shadows. What’s the recommended way to connect a custom renderer like mine, and do you have any plans to make that easier across releases?

I forgot all about Jack of All Trades. Need to rewatch

Look at floci

I was at the 9:15 show and did not notice him. No mention of it by David ( great show tho, I’m looking forward to whatever comes out next year for his new special)

So there were 11 states on the confederacy side ( 7 at secession and four joined after)
Pretty fucking clear sign of what it means.
And yes Donald Trump is a pedo rapist.

It’s still a much sturdier protection layer compared to “don’t do this X” inside of CLAUDE.md.

Parrots of telegraph Hill documentary delves into those SF parrots. ( in case anyone is curious) I hope Mochi comes back to you OP.

You should see the company I’m currently at. I’d wager than more than 40% of PRs fail ci checks and directors will personally bypass merge rules to merge their teams PRs and then pretend they didn’t know it was red. Meanwhile dev, qa and prod are always getting new bugs inserted. Am I in hell?

I mean he did record an album with rhapsody of fire.
Autarkhis
Oof indeed I did. Sorry!

A graphic design portfolio will not get you remotely close to having an internship opportunity. It should be focused in whatever area of game development you’re looking to break into. Your projects from school should show this and not a mixed bag of unrelated school projects.

You’re saying it like it’s a bad thing. Keep going headless chicken!!
Autarkhis
I accept this as canon.

Cheesesteak and grill stop in Folsom ( prairie city side) is pretty damn good. Lovely owners as well.
Autarkhis
Likewise. There’s another post started about 14 hours ago about this. I assume that the double usage bonus ended reseted us to something like .1x instead.
Autarkhis
Yeah there’s definitely something wrong happening with the ending of the bonus.hopefully we will see an email tomorrow saying oopsie we fucked up, back to your regular limits ( I’m on 20x , been gone half the day, and worked with a single terminal for the rest and I’m nearly at 20% weekly usage. That has never happened before .
Autarkhis
Exactly what I’m seeing too. I’m on the max 20
Autarkhis
Not very procedural though is it.
Autarkhis
Honestly same it’s been about 2 decades and in my graphics / comp sci switch I’ve never needed to get into that macro level of realism. A quad is mostly enough for my leaf purposes these days :)

Are you sure venation actually loops that much? Monocots have parallel venation with no loops. Even in dicots with reticulate venation, the major vein hierarchy (midrib → lateral veins) is tree-like - only the finest veinlets form anastomoses. That would still make L-systems useful for the primary framework.
Autarkhis
What about the veins though? Venation is a branching hierarchy - majors splitting into minor veins into veinlets which is what L-systems are good at. A parametric surface gives you the leaf outline, sure, but it doesn’t capture the fractal vascular network inside it. In the end it all depends on the resolution / level of detail you’re trying to achieve.

Look at the editor log to see what it got stuck on.
And working out proper parellelism of tests, scheduling them properly, hashing, caching, manifests, and a good high level orchestrator / control plane would solve all this.
