Depends what side of good guy they wanna be. If they stop making the phones or go belly up as a company they could always just release a tool.
BaconIsntThatGood
So you're suggesting OP went to another country, spent $2k on stuff, regrets it, and therefore has filed a false police report in an attempt to have it successfully reported as unauthorized?
BaconIsntThatGood
Any chance there will be a physical release? :)

There's two types of chargebacks (simplifying for argument)
One is user initiated on a specific purchase saying that the company did something wrong.
The other is bank initiated when you report you card as stolen and have a lot of transactions you're saying you didn't do. This usually just forces a refund and the seller is informed why it was reversed.
The latter is usually not a problem for companies because the reason that comes in is stating it was an external problem they cannot control.
The former is the one companies get pissed over.

This is why a chargeback should be last resort and otherwise considered "I'm done with this company".
No company wants to deal with a chargeback and will just as easily not do business with you. They have fees associated to it, requires manually reviewing a transaction and replying, and take sometimes weeks to come to a resolution leaving funds stuck in the air.
A lot of people will quickly do it thinking it's equal to a "well I know I deserve a refund so I want my money back" and will just do that first without any attempt to talk to the company first and ask for a refund let alone threaten a chargeback first.
Doing a chargeback is effectively an expression of "I no long wish to do business with this company".

A lot of people tend to see someone give advise to chargeback and start salivating because "yea stick it to the company!"

Movies allow telling a story in a different way than a series would in terms of pacing. You can get more in a series but you also cannot tell the story the same way either because it has to be broken up into increments and designed around cliffhangers between episodes.

Change in price is likely a coincidence.
If they really did this to try and get an extra $1000 out of someone it doesn't make sense to eat your processing fees on a charge and refund if that volume. There's barely any gain.
The price probably just went up sometime after OP bought.

They refunded usd because it was paid in usd. OPs card issuer handled the exchange. They wouldn't even be able to chargeback because that transaction will show as refunded.

Have you tried manually deleting the 2 dll files after freshly launching steam before you launch any game?
- GameOverlayRenderer.dll
- GameOverlayRenderer64.dll
located in: Program Files (x86)\Steam
BaconIsntThatGood
The complaint about deleting games is the risk of not being able to redownload it not having to install it again later
BaconIsntThatGood
Yea I cannot remember the specific name something like steamoverlayrenderer.dll there's two with similar names.
BaconIsntThatGood
Yes they even revamped it
BaconIsntThatGood
I mean we can still play that strike, no?
BaconIsntThatGood
The fix is delete the overlay DLL before you launch the game. The problem has to do with how it interacts with steam overlay - even if disabled.

I'm still not sure what canned soup we are talking about.
BaconIsntThatGood
What's expensive for canned soup?
BaconIsntThatGood
It's what you make of it.
I'm always of the mind that if I can comfortably afford it then great. If I can't then I ask what pain and quality if life the pet would have.

This screams graphic designer with no oversight being creative

Let me deal with stains over weeks/months if it means no drilling :(

Only way these first generation agents could pull it off is if they could... Access their own source code/model and also install it somewhere else then transfer their context window to a different machine andansge to do so against something with enough resources to handle their "thinking"
So no

Replace AI with "I took 2 minutes to ask an intern to do it"

I'd like to think it's not unreasonable if they bring these back it would get the same treatment that all dungeons did - where it would be the same loot but reprised and tiered and there is an armor set - as if this content still existed i the game it would have been given the same treatment i the final update.
I wouldn't expect to have expanded loot pools.
You don't need to take the amount they say your eligible for if you feel it's too much and just take say, 5k.
