Voron's philosophy is to use off the shelf components. Also at the time of designing the tap load cells were considered too unreliable.

Można też mieszać SSD z HDD w jednym stacku i serwować hybrydowo.
Do domu? HDD są tańsze, ale cośtam je słychać. Dyskiem można też komuś przywalić, a SSD to broń klasy paczka chipsów.

Maybe I am naive, but I can't see the business case for the effort going into the MB and keeping it closed.
I don't deny the amount of work it went into it but ffs it's a home organisation for nerds. Don't make a business out of it, it's not like Ikea is going exit him for millions, partially because the free alternatives like OpenGrid and the system complexity limits the audience to tinkerers.
One can get money doing a real job and enjoy fun nerdy community contributions in their free time.

I'm also on early access.
IMO as long it's a grassy area and not inaccessible rock, the sheep should be fine.
It would be cool for the fields on elevation to require extra labor and get terraced, but I suppose this falls under the category of having high expectations*)
*) The fact that field can make morgens of forest disappear in one click is so wrong. Historically, peasants had to claw their fields from the forest. This should be fixed.

Oh wow, thank you for telling me this! Seems that I've dismissed it too early. Compared to OS alternatives the UX of RevoScan is way more streamlined and friendly - if I can get it to align better, then it's golden. I'll try this next time!

If you don't care about precision, I agree you can rely on manually mapping of a few points instead of relying on algorithm to minimize the error across thousands / millions of points. Computers are generally better than humans at such tasks, not employing them is a waste.
My take is that algorithmic alignment is already available in the software, so it's an unfortunate feature gap that the user run can't run it against defined starting position. Especially that competing software packages allow for that.
The workflows in ClousCompare / MeshLab work exactly like that - set 3/4 point pairs to create an initial alignment and then let the algorithm to take over and minimize the alignment error. That workflow is missing in RevoScan.

What's AHK?

So the Revopoint software auto doesn't accept any feedback. If it joins the wrong features on the object, there is no way to roughly align them manually and then rerun auto to let the software handle the precise alignment. The version I have is RevoScan 5.5.5 (I think RevoScan 6 had some compatibility issues).
CloudCompare allows you to do three point pairs and then run an algorithm to register the features. I believe it's called ICP registration. Unfortunately, I found it to be prone to crashing and mostly unusable in the scans I tried it with. Also, they've made a very questionable decision about not having an undo button.
I think Meshlab was the most usable out of the three, if I remember correctly it managed to do point registration - but the UI is just obnoxious.
👁️ Surveillance State: I voted Yea.
