You could always get lucky with your timing and find a spot that has a lease that's been under rent control for several years or more. I don't want to get your hopes up, because it seems like this doesn't happen that often. If you are going to find a spot in the city that fits that criteria, you will need a combination of luck, patience, and persistence. You might consider finding a month to month lease while you look for something more long term.

Ew you are such an elitist if you have the means to notice car pool lane violators.

I don't understand all the Reggie hate. I was never a fan of his Dennis Allen move, and some of his free-agent moves were a little questionable, but I think overall he's done a pretty good job considering the circumstances. Do people honestly believe that an organization can turn around in a few years after a decade of senile mismanagement? Perhaps I've grown too patient.
Edit: typo

Sick video, thanks for sharing! Looking forward to going to next week's game.

Most Raiders fans have lots of friends that are Niner fans. There's usually one or two that love to regularly remind you that our fan base is full of "thugs" and "criminals". This provides evidence (albeit in poor taste) that these types of comments can go both ways.

Graduated with an economics degree right after the financial meltdown of 2008. I knew I wanted to get into the technology industry, but decided that finance/economics was not the point of entry I had thought I had been looking for. I had some exposure to programming in high school, mostly messing around on my TI-83 calculator and dipping my toes in C++. I decided to take an "Intro to Java" class at my local community college. I was surprised at how much I thoroughly enjoyed programming (far more than I had appreciated it in high school). Shortly after completing this course, I got incredibly lucky. A (somewhat distant) relative's husband was looking for an entry level Java intern, and I was able to get that position after a thirty minute technical interview (felt like an hour and half). The project that I began working on, we later found out, had requirements that far exceeded my skill set. It was a compiler that functioned as an active code generator for various target languages. Despite many sleepless nights and healthy dose of constant terror, I was able to complete the project in roughly six months with the Java and Python plugins. This lead to a salaried position within the company on a different team, where I found another mentor who's advice has been invaluable to me. Don't be afraid of the deep end, you are probably capable of more than you realize. Try and find a great mentor if you can, and make sure they realize how much you appreciate all that you learn from them.

That's that Bay Area love we need to see more of. If the A's and Giants fans can get along so well, why not football fans too? One bay!
Bandux
Is there any possible explanation for this? Being a shitty football team is not embarrassing. Failing to attempt to help your teammates in obvious times of need, that is beyond embarrassing.

What about junior j2ee in SF? Haven't been on contract since I was an intern roughly 2 years ago.

It's that feeling of the prospect of a .500 season.

So far so good...Wish I could say the same about the rest of the team.

Fortunately that bar is usually closed during the day. That's a pretty busy corner though, hopefully nobody was injured.

I always new North Beach was special.

Everything is a lot simpler when dealing with hypothetical roles behind the keyboard. The subtle distinction here is that ordinary citizens are often enemy combatants in situations of asymmetric warfare. The people who you just defined as enemy combatants are also teachers, parents, police officers, and merchants.
Bandux
Why do you say that? (I know pretty much nothing about Raspberry Pi, just intrigued by anything labelled a gateway drug)
Bandux
Israel does not justify killing civilians, they justify targeted attacks within Gaza. The fact that it is often impossible to discern between ordinary citizens and enemy combatants is merely an explanation as to why the civilian death count is so high. We never hear about all the strikes that are cancelled because of these uncertainties. They do take this into account to justify restraint.
Bandux
It becomes even more complicated when enemy combatants are using single-use long range weapons. Would you consider the people calculating the trajectories enemy combatants? What about the people who build, store, and maintain such weapons? Obviously the children sprinting towards the launch sites wouldn't be considered enemy combatants. Not so simple is it?

Because Hamas' purported goal is to eliminate the Israeli state. Palestinians were offered a state in the original UN Partition Plan to go into effect in 1948, but it was rejected because the Arab world thought Palestinians should have the whole thing.

That may seem like a claim to us, but to Christian believers, that often is the answer.

Many atheists love to think about and discuss religion. Seems ironic, but it's been a passion of mine for most of my life.
Bandux
Unless that answer happens to be "because Jesus is God".

I can't tell if you're being literal or figurative here.
I forgot to add, there are these co-op houses that seem pretty cool for new-comers on a budget. It's sort of like living in a dorm, but people seem to love them or hate them. Great way to land yourself in the city at an affordable rate and meet a lot of new friends/roommates in the process. They also tend to have higher turnovers, making it more likely that you will find an available room.
