Magda is looking at Deep Space 9 too
Biograde
[[Ulasht the hate seed]] is pretty cool and can run impact tremors
Biograde
This is absolutely possible. I have been running Ulasht for years and my deck is at a very high bracket 3, arguably low bracket 4.
Biograde
This guy used to be a commander staple too!
Biograde
Sure! The general idea is that you convert saprolings into mana. There are tons of ways of doing this in the deck, and Ulasht will just keep coming back bigger and bigger.
There's also some simpler wincons that you can pivot to, like Purphoros or Craterhoof Behemoth. There are also a few ways to give Ulasht deathtouch, which is pretty brutal.
The sideboard is cards that I've tested and cut. The maybeboard is cards that I am thinking of adding

Sure thing, here ya go!

I've been playing for a long time so my list has some pricy cards that I got when they were WAY cheaper (earthcraft and gaea's cradle come to mind). The deck works great in bracket 3 without them though

[[Ulasht the hate seed]]
It used to be a popular commander WAY long ago, but it still holds up. It's removal, an army in a can, and a combo piece all together in the command zone.

[[Pooling Venom]] [[Pooling Venom]]
[[Peer into the Abyss]] [[Peer into the Abyss]]
Biograde
Yes, which is exactly what you want as you would get 2 heartwood tokens for each myriad token
Biograde
For me, I'm getting this after clicking on the "Need Help", receiving the password reset email and clicking on the link
Biograde
Yep, me to
Biograde
I'm a bit late to this, but no one posted my favorite commander, [[Ruhan of the Fomori]]. Here's my list, it's a sunforger based list that is a ton of fun.
Biograde
As a longtime Magda player, this is how I typically use it as well. Granted, my playgroup does not have a ton of cradle decks in it
Biograde
La Mulana probably takes it for me, followed by Rain World and Sekiro. Also some of the late game Binding of Isaac stuff
Biograde
My gut reaction was either Miyazaki or Peter Jackson (solely due to the lord of the rings movies), but after thinking about it this has to be my answer too. So many classics - Misery, Stand by Me, The Princess Bride just to name a few
Biograde
The art is pretty sick. Is it a good commander? No, it doesn't really do anything except provide a blocker that pokes at your opponents. Can you build a bracket 3 deck with this as a commander? Absolutely.
The first thing I would ask myself is "how do I want to win with this commander?". You could try to get infinite prowess triggers with something like [[tidespout tyrant]] or [[hullbreaker horror]] and two mana rocks, but then you would only be able to take out one opponent at a time.
You could also build it as a generic mono blue control deck including a different wincon and have Traxos basically as just a blocker.
I would probably build it as a combination of both, with the main goal to control the board and get a massive hand while you build up to some different win with the looming threat of being able to potentially take someone out with the infinite prowess

Reminds me of the book A Short Stay in Hell
Biograde
Just my Jeskai bracket 4 deck!
Biograde
Currently reading Those Across The River, which is by the same author as Between Two Fires. I'm absolutely loving it so far.
Last book was The Wind Through the Keyhole, finishing up my Dark Tower saga.
Next, not sure but I have a few on deck. Maybe Insomnia since I've heard it's dark tower adjacent, or maybe Ghost Story by Peter Straub
Biograde
Lots of the red clone effects for ramp then a few big mana cards. [[Blade of selves]] is pretty cool
Biograde
Yup!
Biograde
Also, here are the swaps I would do to make it bracket 2:
Earthcraft becomes [[Voyaging Satyr]] Crop Rotation becomes [[Archdruids charm]] Seedborn Muse becomes [[Circle of Dreams Druid]] Gaea's Cradle becomes [[Fire-lit thicket]] 1 Mountain becomes a Forest or a different land that taps for both
Biograde
Oh hey, it's one of my favorite commanders!
I've been playing and fine tuning this deck for a long time now. It's bracket 3, but it doesn't need the gamechangers to win

Cards that let your tokens tap or sac for mana are huge, letting you loop Ulasht easily and getting a huge board. Giving Ulasht deathtouch makes him an absolute menace toi
Biograde
I had a similar deck once using [[xyris, the writhing storm]], it was a ton of fun to play!
I read Watership Down between books 2 and 3 last year and it did fit in there!
