I'm surprised I haven't been dogpiled on yet by some of the crustiest mfs alive tbh.

The flipside of all you are saying is that nothing you do matters consequentially or interpersonally. Which is one of the core feelings in deep major depression.
BlatantConservative
Strong disagree. Wanting to never leave your comfort bubble and nothing ever changing and having nothing to look forward to and no desire to change anything is called clinical depression. That's what those hikikimori types in Japan do. That's what I did from 2017-2018. Didn't leave my room for like a year and a half.
I cannot really express in words how unhealthy this desire is. Unlike being a shut in, the fantasy might seem more palatable because you're not really putting anyone else out, but the fundamental issue, being happy with no future, is A Problem and your brain is not wired to be that way.
BlatantConservative
Yeah ngl, lot of what people are talking in here sounds like depression

Got a whole lot of Immediately Slipping Into Dispair as soon as they realize they're in one
That's usually because they have things they want to do.
Already not wanting to do things and having no hope for the future is called depression ngl.

Narnia conically has Christmas but canonically God/Christ is Aslan. Therefore it should be called Aslanmas.

This is a major plot point, albeit gone over in Episode 1, in Fullmetal Alchemist.
BlatantConservative
This is the plot of Fullmetal Alchemist. Ed has met God. Hates him. Hates anyone who believes in God. Identifies as athiesr, not antitheist.

A Certain Magical Index does this really well. Unfortunately it also gets into pedophilia. God I forgot how bad that shit got when I rewatched it lately. But if you skip forward on a lot of scenes, the fantasy religion is pretty cool.

People always shittalk Percy Jackson kiddies about Greek Myths, and some of that is fair, but I do gotta say that Riordan really really captured the vibes of the original stories extremely well. Like the actual Greeks would love the continuation. There are worse pop culture depictions of religion to obsess over.

Many many Christian and other religions have explanations or theology around intersex people. Not all of them are good, but it isn't a new thing to the world of theology.
The new thing is actually acheivably being able to medically change gender.
I am going to use terminology that some might find offensive here:
I know more than a few people who believe that men and women shouldn't dress up as one another (real Bible verse) but they don't believe the Bible addresses actually changing your gender at the fundamental level (which is true). To them, trans people are fine as long as they end up as a man or woman who lives as a man or a woman at the end of all of it.
Now I realize that the wording of all of this is wrong but I still like these people and think they're relatively nonproblematic and supportive in general.

PHP issue so bad, Tawawa guy drew a woman with realistically sized breasts.

Japan didn't get hit worse than everyone else, the government cybersec agency released an order to fix all the PHP stuff at the national level which made everyone have to be seen as doing something.
And as much as I love poking fun at Japan, this is still more grounded than the recent AI stuff in US tech.

You're forgetting that McGuckett used to be literally Steve Jobs.

Dude did know, it's just human instinct to look into the eyes of what's looking at you

I looked them up and they technically existed back then but definitely weren't used by TV yet. They were founded in 1962

Yeah sounds about right. I mean, if there was ever a unit where "whatever, give them whatever they want" made sense, it was them. If they failed, China was lost essentially.

I could fit into my grandfather's Korean War kit. At like, a short fifteen years old.

From what I understand they could basically make up whatever they want because command had no way to verify anything at all. But the Japanese were stopped, and pushed back, so something worked.

Merril's Marauder? That's an incredibly rare and impressive family relation there. I've always wanted to meet one.
Like I used to volunteer at Arlington National Cemetery as a teen through Sea Cadets and I don't think there are any Marauders there even.

I respect people who can remember apple types. It's like people who can remember Pokemon or Yugioh cards but actually useful.
They won't really care if you call it problematic. If you want religious Christians to actually like progress you're gonna have to walk these steps.
