Something like that is (if you are willing to interpret the "good friends" very very broadly): https://mangadex.org/title/838e5b3a-51c8-44cf-b6e2-68193416f6fe/pashiri-na-boku-to-koisuru-banchou-san

He could coach others, but could not coach himself.

Cupcake Time

Blue_gekko

Yay! First manga I ever read. Looking forward to reading the sequel.

Seraphine: You can flash during the cast animation of E as well, similar to ult, but the window is much narrower.

This has to be up there as one of the greatest plays together with the Ryze one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5BHjSGCj1o

The real LPT is always in the comments.

An interesting interaction (don't think its a bug): If you get deus ex machina in your starting hand, and discard it with gambling chip, you still get the extra miracles, but deus ex machina doesnt get exhausted, so you still draw it later.

Blue_gekko

Because it was banned in the 5th so he couldn't play it 5 games

10/10 with rice

Blue_gekko

Hm, my bad then.

A much easier combo seems to be just wilderness reclamation. Although you cant really attack with it straight away, but can still sacrifice it.

1 Draft, not big sample size, but here is my experience:

I had 3 rares after pick 5. Not even bad rares, they were steam vents (pick one), erratic cyclops (pick 2-3), camaraderie (pick 4-5). So there are definitely bots that ignore good cards in favor of something else - probably their preferred color.

Okay, 100% they are going to have to change the constructed event reward structure. Let's do some thinking:

For now, let's assume that with 50% winrate, you break even (this is a bit complicated calculation, and the exact winrate is irrelevant for what I'm thinking about). So, if you have less then 50% winrate, there really is no reason to run this event. I was a 70% winrate in the old constructed event, but that meant that were probably people with 30% winrate - but they still played, for the ICRs. They are going to stop now, so my winrate will eventually tank - if it drops below a certain level, even if it is somewhat profitable, it will become a waste of time.

Let's say I (and everyone else who thinks similarly) stops running the event when my winrate becomes 50%. That means that even more people stop playing, which continues indefinitely: at a point, even the best players will only have 50% winrate - because everyone else stopped playing.

So, this means 2 things:

  • No one will play this event eventually, or only those who don't really care about the rewards. This means they will either remove the event, or change it somehow.

  • FTP players can only build collection through quests and draft. If a player is not good at drafting, they are restricted to the quest progression, which, if nothing changes, is about 12 packs a week, which is not too bad (compared to like hearthstone), but also not too great. The absence of dusting means that they will probably only be able to afford one cheap deck per rotation - which might be where Wizards wants them to be, but not a great FTP experience.

Still my favourite runepage: https://imgur.com/r/leagueoflegends/V4Iitgv

I think it's more like they didn't want to implement UI changes for one specific card, so they just decided to be generous to save effort.

Which is completely understandable.

Blue_gekko

Yes.

Blue_gekko

Yep, but you can farm exhumes.

Blue_gekko

Can alchemize be randomly generated? That could give some healing if it can.

Also, if you have particular setups, like bird face urn, or bandage in deck with ironclad it still can be worth it to stall, but it would be really hard to remove all of those.

I read through your post, and it's really hard for me to take this as good analysis. Not because I know better; to be honest I didn't even watch the game that you are talking about.

The reason for this is that you seem to have the predisposed opinion that proactive = good, passive = bad. This is not true in every case, if it was, pro players wouldn't do it. They are not terrible at the game. With you having this opinion I don't feel like you judge the game correctly.

Being passive generates pressure if you do it correctly. It sometimes forces the enemy team to do plays that they wouldn't normally do, and sometimes you can capitalize on that. Who knows, maybe Bjerg's play this game enabled the rest of the team to make the plays that they did make.

Again, I didn't watch the game, so I can't disprove you, I just don't feel like your analysis is objective enough to be correct.

Blue_gekko

I had a similar idea for the 5 card achivement, only took 2 cards: glacier and doom and gloom - didnt even have peace pipe. Glacier is a really strong card if you can play it every turn.

Blue_gekko

A lot of times it is actually an upside. For curses and tactician and stuff.

Orianna, Camille, Elise

To expand on this, it can be used to enable infinite combo with flash of steel/dropkick.

Blue_gekko

Yep!
