Keep in mind this is industry related not practice as I’ve never worked there

  1. Not really. I know a few top level people that are quite unassuming. If you want to get to the very top it may be an issue but by that point you’d have 20-30 years experience and feel a lot different than you do now
  2. I would argue finding an AAT training job and then progressing through to ACCA CIMA or ACA would be best. I really feel like AAT gives you a stronger foundation than going straight into one of the higher level qualifications and lets you see if you enjoy it. A degree in accounting is largely redundant in industry
  3. this will all depend on your role and your company. In a good company you won’t feel pressured too much but there are hard deadlines that can’t be pushed back at times
  4. I do enjoy my job but like all things there are parts you won’t enjoy but you can specialise into the things you find interesting in a larger company. Pay wise it’s one of the few jobs that almost guarantees salary progression
  5. the job can be as easy or as hard as you make it. If you don’t want to progress you can keep doing the things you’re comfortable with. Month end/year end accounts will always need doing but there will always be ways for you to push yourself and keep learning if you want to

I fully agree CrossFit can be a problem but this is such an unfair example. She was working in the adaptive division and the tape was there for someone with one arm who used the same bar

Blueblue42

I went past 600 for my bronze. I dislike you

My wife did similar then didn’t rehab it properly. The second time she did it it was far far worse and the doctor has said if it happens again there will be permanent issues with the wrist

Moral of the story is make sure you do proper rehab

I am bias I know that but I truest think the FLP will end up devaluing CIMA in the next 5 years.

A large number of management accountants I know have done just fine with ACCA and nearly every job posting I’ve seen in the UK says ACCA or CIMA

100% with you. It’s always been a personal gripe when you can see someone clearly fitter than that gets penalised by the scoring system. I’ve always advocated that first should get 100 points and last get 0 points and depending on how you progress between the two you get that many points.

That being said I have no basis for this or have I ever really thought it through it just feels fairer than someone finishing a working 10 minutes before second but only getting a tiny scoreboard lead

Nearly all CrossFit competitions are scored either points per position on the leaderboard (1st is 1 2nd is 2) or leader gets 100 points and each position gets a pre determined point allocation depending on placing

If that’s fair or a true reflection is up for debate but it doesn’t look unusual to me

I think for most of us the joy comes from ‘number go up’ but I also find fighting for a hard rep enjoyable.

I think there will always be a different element you enjoy more or less depending on who you are. I know full well hour long zone 2 sessions will make me better. Will I do one? No sir straight for another squat cycle

He is and will always be a true captain

What would the slots down into the compartments do there? Quick return of unused parts?

Blueblue42

Hours of the day could be something. Maybe a change per hour for a shop or something?

Blueblue42

For a hotel sort of thing?

Blueblue42

Slots in the top lead down to the sections in the bottom. Advent calendar is a good shout

Blueblue42

My title describes the thing. It has the numbers 1-24 on the top

Blueblue42

Should probably invest it in the staff and not abusing them

Blueblue42

Still no real idea mostly exam technique. It was for SBR

Blueblue42

I think very well but the last time I thought that I failed so who knows

Blueblue42

Depending on your current position likely a lot of bulking and heavy compounds then a decent cut

Blueblue42

That was just the last derby game there. We’re still there to the end of the season

Have you seen the news lately? Looking at the past to gauge the strength of the American economy is bonkers…

The current administration is either genius on a level no one else sees or going to tank the economy of most of the globe
