It should take more than a simple majority to force future votes to take more than a simple majority.

Why not skip the pretense and limit the vote to property owners?

I mean Trader Joes has a very limited selection of non-food products.
I guess it could be like soap, or paper towels?
Or I guess alcohol is probably categorically different enough from food, and a reasonable target for theft.

It should be illegal! But as long as it's not, we might as well participate. Keeping our hands clean hasn't worked 🤷

Your point is reasonable, but I think you may have misread the second quote: That's six-figure overtime sums, as in they're adding more than $100,000 to their base pay from overtime.

To be fair, despite the understandable perspective of women that the country was ready for a black man to be president but not for a woman , a big part of the current moment evolved from an insane, furious, spiteful backlash to that black man.
But really, it was the death of a thousand cuts. It's possible her charisma, the campaign, or her competition's obvious lack of fitness would have carried the day of it weren't for people's bigotry against her, but she over performed compared to most incumbents in a global wave of resentment against the people in charge while times were hard. People were mad that there was inflation (despite it being managed better here than most anywhere else) and pushed the "change things" button because their burrito takes and videogames cost too much. And they didn't push it as hard here as they did many other places.

I know my Psychiatrist makes at the very least $300,000 a year.
I'm not particularly worried about the $1600 in fast-casual lunches on top of that, let alone the $120 by the rep from the manufacturer of my specific prescription.
If anything, I'm worried he's a bit of a sucker, since his specialty's mean amount was apparently $14,000 in 2022 and he made a measly ~$700.

God you're stupid.

If you're concerned about people mistakenly believing themselves to be trans (which I'm not saying you are), it can only be good for kids to explore their gender as early as possible, since it gives them plenty of time before puberty to decide for themselves how sure they are about their gender identity. If a kid is resolute and consistent from like 5 to 11 about their gender, I'm fairly comfortable taking their word for it.

This is the reason so many school shootings happens in America,
No, we have as many school (and church, and concert, and DV...) shootings as we do because we refuse to restrict access to guns.

Most importantly, successful people are more likely to look at a pattern of failure/conflict and ask themselves "am I the problem?" and actually think about it.
And the actually thinking about it is important, since it's unhelpful both to assume that you aren't and that you are the problem. You need to actually consider it.

I told my psychiatrist I find climbing perfect ADHD exercise and he was like "Oh yeah climbing's great, what gym do you go to? Oh, fun, I go to this (other) one." 🤷

So do you think the overwhelmingly consistent findings that women's pain is dismissed, they receive a lower standard of care, their symptoms are much more likely to be dismissed as "anxiety", and that decades of medical research has systematically avoided recruiting women for studies because of potential "complications", orienting the entire field to better treat men, is just kvetching?
BobaFlautist
Nah, they're all in the gay bars hitting on gay men 🤷♂️

You also don't hide your fucking rocket launchers in hospitals, and yet here we are 🤷♂️
Your complaint is that the renters can pass taxes that are opposed by the landowners. There's literally no way to prevent that without effectively valuing the landowners' votes above those of the renters. You can obfuscate it by making it about specific types of votes, but at the end of the day you don't want the majority to be able to pass laws that the minority doesn't want, that's your core complaint 🤷
