Finally, the vacuum tube industry is poised to reclaim its dominance!

Feels a little misleading. It can read 100,000 MRI scans in 30 minutes, which would normally take years presumably if one person were to do them. Until we can get an MRI at the speed of an x-ray I don't think it will change much.

A rich, 30-meter-high archaeological mound in southeastern Turkey

Headline makes it sound like a large pile of dirt was added instead of an archaeological site.

GOOD. That I need to go out to buy specialized screw drivers to fix a controller is ridiculous already, never mind the insanity that comes with more complicated tech.

It'd presumably be handled the way oil changes or other part replacements are. The mechanic becomes the one responsible for recycling/disposing of the product as required.

As autonomous vehicles go, these make the most sense to me after rail. Other ships are easily detected and avoided for 99% of the trip. The final leg into port can still be handled by a person if necessary. Assuming they can get them to make it from one place to another semi reliably anyway.

The only truly secure computer is offline, powered down, at the bottom of the ocean.

While China was mocking India's misfortune, their hackers were stealing COVID vaccine secrets.

This is a challenging time for India, I'm glad more is being done to help those in need.
