My target job has changed over the last few years. I initially wanted to build awwards like websites and work with 3D but once I learnt backend I really enjoyed taking an idea from nothing and creating models and finding out how to structure data and get an app running.

I think I will continue with Java as I do enjoy it. Im getting into the framework part now which is what will actually be used daily. Its a lot of information to push through, its just challenging enough while not being overwhelming. For now Ive done the same of solving leetcode in my familiar JS first then repeating in java and its going well.

Just curious, why did you thing a Golang job would make you happier and do you get just that at your current job?

The leetcode is very valid. I once struggled with a question that required using a data structure with an inbuilt implementation in python that would take some of your interview time to implement is JS. From what I see Java at least does a better job than javascript with collections.

Every job role seems to require "knowledge of AI" "RAG" etc even if youre not building AI and youre building something that calls OpenAI API for example.

To be honest my basic experience has been to use for debugging and basically prompting to learn new stuff. Ive also done tutorials and built basic stuff with vercels AI SDK. Its just any time I explore some new material, look at 'Javascript/fullstack job roles that mention AI' or tutorials, python is usually a prerequisite.

I think you have to push through at the beginning, you wont understand it all at the first go. And it helpedme have info from varying sources so that something I learnt in one place i watched again or youtube or in a book and already knew what came next.

Still I recommend finding a book to complement and help drill the ideas in

same. Ive got his java course open in one tab and his spring in a different tab.

I also recommend books with projects. I recommend Learn Java with Projects or trying out educative.io if you can afford it.

Have you tried heating up the prey a bit. Its quite possible that because ts not hot and theres no heat coming off its less intereted. I ususally thaw overnight and then put it on the heating mat fir 15 mins.Not very high temps and not to cook it but just so it has a bit of heat like a live rat.
