My daughter's was a $50 Marketplace find that was totally disassembled and rebuild the modern parts. It's more bike than she needs but I had fun doing the build.

Primos bike are a solid choice.

Love to see a multitrack doin' the multitrack thang

I've only seen the mount hole on 750/790 forks.

R1000 or R2000? Pics of the drive side would help with suggestions/advice.
Velo Orange Quill Stems or any other you can find on the interwebz
Bar tape is a personal thing - Fabric Knurl Gravel Handlebar Tape Gravel Bike is my fav and can be found on that big online retailer.
Brake pads are standard road bike design.

Black is the new neutral - it goes with everything. I'd throw black cables, pedals, saddle, and grips on it to tie it all together and send it.

Do you want modern or vintage? V brakes or discs? Steel or aluminum?
Vintage Steel - Trek Multitrack 730/750
Modern Aluminum - Velo Orange Chessie
Modern Steel - Jamis Renegade S1 frameset
Brakes - Growtac menchanical discs
Wheelsets - Velocity Cliffhangers (available in disc or rim brakes)
Drivetrain - GRX810 2x11
Flat bars with Shimano RS700 shifters

Great build and love the VO goodies. I think a set of bars with more sweep would complete the transformation and add to rider comfort. I have Seine bars on my 730 and I'm very happy with the choice.

700C and different geometry.

I'd ride the wheels off of that. Vintage Cannondale hybrid with amazing color.
BorisT72
All good! No knock in my book when starting the obvious.

I missed the detail about the pads. Thanks!

Shimano Alivio 4000 are available in silver and black. Easy to install and set up. Vintage XTR are cool but spendy.

Maybe... I'd guess chainstay clearance would be the issue.

The 930 would be solid or you might consider a Multitrack 730/750 for some 700C goodness. With dropbars he he would probably need a 19" frame for drops. I've converted 3 of them to R7000/GRX810 2x11 drivetrain which pairs nicely with the classic steel goodness.

You might find a 16" M series but that might be too big. The smaller Cannondales are hard to find in my corner of the world. The Trek 8xx series are much more common in smaller sizes.

My 4'10" daughter, her 4'9" friend, and 5'1" wife both ride 15. The first two rode a 13" 26er before their current bikes. Sounds like your wife has shorter legs and longer torso.

A 15" 830/850 would work well. They are fairly common in the 15" size in my part of the world.

Not for 5'1" - a 15" will be a better choice.
Yup! Whit's called with seasonal flavors and I answered. I normally head north from the house but a sweet treat was calling.
