The Piglins - just savage barbarians
Nah fuck you, give 'em a proper description like the others.
The Piglins - The remnants of a prideful civilization so driven by greed that it sought to bleed our world dry of resources, just as it did theirs.
I think you fail to realize that the piglins weren't always as primitive as they are in modern day. The only reason they got sent back to the stone ages while humans & villagers only got sent to the medieval ages is because we ransacked their shit back in Legends. Legends simply gives us a glimpse into the immense power they held back in their prime, a notion that's existed ever since they were added back in the Nether Update.
Look at netherite, netherite ore literally doesn't exist anymore, these fuckers mined it all out. All of it. This is the official explanation Mojang gives us, & we see this reflected in the fact that we can only ever find it now in the form of ancient debris. Debris are the remnants of Piglin tech, something that's better reflected in Dungeons. We literally walk past a giant mining drill upon entering the Nether, part of this thing even appears in the key art for that DLC.
Hell, look at the fucking Bastion remnants. Those things are fucking massive, & I'm pretty certain that they're only pieces of what must've been the full structure. Check the variant names: "bridge", "treasure room", "stables", "housing units", all of these are only parts of a full castle. Even the word "bastion" can be defined as a "structure projecting outward from the curtain wall of a fortification", we're only seeing mere remnants of what used to be. Imagine building a castle out of the puzzle pieces still left behind, realize that the full puzzle is much bigger than any single Overworld structure that still exists in modern day.
Also no way in Hell were the ancient Piglins much worse at warfare than the ancient civilizations of the Overworld. Even ignoring the fact that Legends suggests these fuckers invented the entire concept of war, nothing about their ruins screams "peaceful" to me. I think these guys had way more experience with warfare than the Overworld by the time they began their invasion. Even the practice of hunting alone gives them plenty of experience. I also don't think the Overworld's access to redstone mattered much, nothing suggests that they had much mastery over the stuff, at least nothing near what's theoretically possible, & nothing that the piglins couldn't respond with, as seen in Legends & a little bit in Dungeons.
All I'm saying is that Legends didn't create the notion that the piglins used to be a huge threat, the possibility has always been there. The only new information it gave was that they struck first, not us.

Because fuck you in particular.

Did you see the video on the Minecraft channel?
At around 0:44 there's a mob sound we don't recognize.
It sounded awfully End-like.
Breaker-Course89
This is definitely the wrong sub for this.
Breaker-Course89
The world is a diverse thing.
Breaker-Course89
Wow y'all are being absolute shit right now.
Anyways, I'm gonna be incorporating this into my understanding of Minecraft now.

Well, I figured out what voting manipulation is...
Son of a bitch.
Masterful gambit, dumbass.
