I think I had the same vet! The buildings were actually designed as part of an elite girl's school primarily to incorporate international architecture into their environment. There's a nice little walking tour with signage they set up a few years ago that takes you through the history - worth a stop!

Might be a little more involved than you're looking for, but the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Silver Spring definitely has some oddball stuff in it. It's also down the street from the National Park Seminary which has some wild looking historic buildings.

Just a heads up for anyone it makes a difference for, Homestead Gardens is quite openly in support of MAGA.

The collection is owned by Freedom Forum who had it in storage. I can't say if the specific antenna was moved into storage with the rest of the collection. You could try reaching out to them, but they're pretty protective of any information about their collection.

Shit company, finally swapped providers after they bought out my doctor's office years ago and it's been so much better.

The main issue (in a nutshell) is that it's produced by a company directly owned by the LDS church and as a result some feel that it tries to shift the blame off specific aspects of Mormonism. I think it's still a good podcast, you just need to keep that bias in mind when listening.

It's owned by Anheuser-Busch, not exactly a local business.

From everything I've seen he seems like an awesome dude. Glad we've been able to keep him.

Better to post this to a local subreddit rather than a general one

Is the "Calvert Symbol" an original design based on the color scheme? Not something I've seen before.

I like Laurel, but it doesn't really have a great downtown area for socializing, which seems important to op.

If by "preserving family history" it's just urns, a couple photographs, and knickknacks I don't see why people wouldn't just prefer to do that at home? It would be far cheaper. This just looks like an even more expensive and more impermanent form of cemetery.

Their post history is a pretty sad mix of posts to trans subs questioning their gender combined with homemade anti-trans flags. But they're also British, so it really could go any way.

He's too busy shilling for Chipotle now

FIC I don't consider interchangeable with unaccessioned. If something is Found in Collection, it means that it was likely accessioned (or intended to be) but the original record either doesn't exist or can't be located. To be given an FIC number, the object would need to be accessioned to the collection.
As far as "unaccessioned" material goes, I guess generally that would fall under props? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by works that aren't important enough to formally accessioned.

Massive oversimplification. Hogan got bailed out by COVID relief funds painting a far prettier picture of the state's finances than was accurate. The deficit may not have been inherited on paper, but all its causes were.

They want to show it off, but it's also a lot of work. They probably don't have someone who's full-time job is accommodating these requests, so you're asking them to take time away from other responsibilities.
That said, most places will let you in as long as you do your research and are specific about what you want to see.
BubbaTheBubba
That's for the fellows program, not a generic research request. You need to have an idea of what you're looking for before you show up, you can't just browse, but otherwise archives are usually pretty accommodating. Something as simple as "I'd like to write a blog post about this archive" would probably be enough of a reason.

I think just having a vending machine where allergens are obviously listed would be a huge step! The lack of an ability to check allergens on products in vending machines before buying is a big turn off.

Babycat is great but gets crowded. Good for young families, tons of people with kids visit. Extra bonus that you can walk because parking there is a nightmare.

Flawed stat, we haven't seen how the wasp performs in a McLaren yet.
Not to mention his video speeding through a school zone on his bike
