Saw this on Reddit some years back and it’s stuck with me:

“Alright, here goes. I'm old. What that means is that I've survived (so far) and a lot of people and animals I've known and loved did not. I've lost friends, best friends, pets, acquaintances, co-workers, grandparents, mom, relatives, teachers, mentors, students, neighbors, and a host of other folks.

I wish I could say you get used to death. I never did. I don't want to. It tears a hole through me whenever somebody/thing I love dies, no matter the circumstances. But I don't want it to "not matter". I don't want it to be something that just passes. My scars are a testament to the love and the relationship that I had for and with that person/thing. And if the scar is deep, so was the love. So be it. Scars are a testament to life. Scars are a testament that I can love deeply and live deeply and be cut, or even gouged, and that I can heal and continue to live and continue to love. And the scar tissue is stronger than the original flesh ever was. Scars are a testament to life. Scars are only ugly to people who can't see.

As for grief, you'll find it comes in waves. When the ship is first wrecked, you're drowning, with wreckage all around you. Everything floating around you reminds you of the beauty and the magnificence of the ship that was and is no more. And all you can do is float. You find some piece of the wreckage and you hang on for a while. Maybe it's some physical thing. Maybe it's a happy memory or a photograph. Maybe it's a person who is also floating. For a while, all you can do is float. Stay alive.

In the beginning, the waves are 100 feet tall and crash over you without mercy. They come 10 seconds apart and don't even give you time to catch your breath. All you can do is hang on and float. After a while, maybe weeks, maybe months, you'll find the waves are still 100 feet tall, but they come further apart. When they come, they still crash all over you and wipe you out. But in between, you can breathe, you can function. You never know what's going to trigger the grief. It might be a song, a picture, a street intersection, or the smell of a cup of coffee. It can be just about anything...and the wave comes crashing. But in between waves, there is life.

Somewhere down the line, and it's different for everybody, you find that the waves are only 80 feet tall. Or 50 feet tall. And while they still come, they come further apart. You can see them coming. An anniversary, a birthday, or Christmas, or landing at O'Hare. You can see it coming, for the most part, and prepare yourself. And when it washes over you, you know that somehow you will, again, come out the other side. Soaking wet, sputtering, still hanging on to some tiny piece of the wreckage, but you'll come out.

Take it from an old guy. The waves never stop coming, and somehow you don't want them to. But you learn that you'll survive them. And other waves will come. And you'll survive them too. If you're lucky, you'll have lots of scars from lots of loves.”

😂 Not even EcoFlow themselves inflate the price of this that high, for the record, EcoFlow consistently runs “sales” on their eBay storefront and frequently utilizes inflated/‘fake’ list prices to simulate discounts.

That being said, their hardware itself is good. I run a Delta 2 with Renogy solar panels and use the River 3 Plus for portability.

The River 3 Plus is rated for 600W continuous output and can boost to 1200W surge. It can also be used as UPS.

Where the real benefit is for this community is for PC building and reselling. When buying or selling on local marketplaces, using this with a portable monitor allows you to power and test a full rig on-site wherever you’re meeting at so you can verify system functionality prior to purchase and provides peace of mind to buyers when flipping systems.

Hopefully you get an upgrade for speeds and capacity, but for 99% of us Symetrical Gig is more then enough. Too bad it’s a bit more of a pain for non XGS bypass. I take it you’re in the 8311 Discord already?

I’m sure you have the Starlink router in bypass already, why not fully take it out and use a POE injector. On the flip side I understand that regardless whether it’s the router acting as the injector or a separate unit it’s still something extra in the chain. I did it strictly for DC-DC efficiency and removing whatever the SL router does run in bypass.

LMG is a private company. They are not publicly traded and they have every right to buy a jet. The convenience of scheduling and flying direct offers a strong operational incentive. That flexibility often beats the raw monetary cost when factoring in the value of the personnel they transport. If Linus and his executive team determine both the long-term and short-term value justifies the expense, that is their decision especially if they secured a good deal on the Falcon 900B and have family in the Flight Deck that heavily influence operating costs.

The ecological outrage is selective and looks like virtue signaling. The private aviation sector is already saturated with empty leg routes. Whether Linus owns this specific Falcon or someone else does, it is a working airframe that will fly. His position on carbon offset credits is correct, they are ultimately a scam. LMG would be much better off providing direct contributions to local causes that offer a more tangible impact. The broader scale of global waste, such as the reality of most municipal recycling programs in the U.S., makes singling out one private jet disproportionate.

The actual issue is LMG's reaction to the flight tracking. Linus previously took a public stance supporting the tracking of private flights, specifically Elon Musk and Taylor Swift. The LTT community position was sympathetic to flight tracking as a tool for public accountability. Now that it affects him, his position appears to be reversed. The LMG jet, is actively enrolled in the FAA LADD program to suppress tracking data. This is the exact mechanism Musk utilized.

Security concerns are valid. Linus has faced privacy breaches, including his son being doxxed during a live broadcast. Prioritizing the safety of his family and employees is absolutely reasonable. However, reversing a moral stance on privacy only when it becomes a personal liability is hypocritical. The subsequent use of heavy moderation tactics across platforms to silence discussion compounds the problem (Read Streisand effect.) Attempting to keep the aircraft an open secret until a finalized video released made sense for production. Everything post-reveal would have been better if they had played along or more appropriately addressed it. The flight data is public. LMG should drop the heavy moderation approach and address the contradiction. If it comes down to safety/security where ‘fans’ are showing up at the FBO I understand wanting to control the information, but outside that, it’s fair game.

Intentionally buying broken items that are miscategorized just to force a refund is fraud. Exploiting seller mistakes violates eBay's Abusive Buyer Policy. It also does not guarantee a free item. An INAD claim requires you to ship the item back at the seller's expense to get your money back. The only way you keep the item is if the seller decides the return shipping is not worth the cost. eBay actively monitors for this behavior, and buyers who establish a pattern of weaponizing returns are permanently banned.

This is a known scheme called triangulation fraud. You are not the direct victim here, but your transaction was used as a vehicle to launder stolen money.

The seller listed the Lego set at a discount to guarantee a quick sale. When you paid through eBay, you gave them clean money. The seller then went to Target's website and used a stolen credit card to purchase the item at full retail price, setting the shipping address to your house. The different name on the shipping label is almost certainly the name of the stolen credit card holder. Fraudsters do this to match the billing and shipping names, which bypasses Target's automated fraud detection. People often question why the scammer goes through this trouble. Why not use the stolen card for themselves, or just keep the eBay payment and send nothing? It comes down to avoiding detection and securing liquid cash.

If a thief uses a stolen credit card to buy items for themselves, they have to ship the stolen goods to an address they control, creating a physical trail for law enforcement. They also generally do not want physical merchandise. This scheme effectively launders the stolen credit card limit into clean cash deposited directly into their bank account from eBay.

They actually ship the item to you because they need to defeat eBay's buyer protection systems. If they take your money and send nothing, you will file a claim, and eBay will freeze the funds before they can cash out. By using the stolen card to buy the item from Target and shipping it to you, they generate a real tracking number. eBay sees the delivery and releases the funds. Since you received what you ordered, you do not complain. This buys the scammer time. It usually takes weeks for the stolen card's owner to notice the Target charge and file a chargeback. By the time Target and the credit card company investigate, the scammer has withdrawn your clean money and abandoned their eBay account.

Regarding your next steps, you are not in legal trouble. You purchased the item in good faith. You should contact eBay customer service and report the transaction, even though the seller's account is deleted. This establishes a paper trail showing you are aware the goods were likely purchased fraudulently. Keep a record of your eBay receipt and a photo of the Target shipping label. If Target or the credit card company investigates the chargeback later, having this documentation protects you.

If you want to go above and beyond (and to be clear you are not required to do this) you can contact Target and give them the information from the shipping label and explain what happened so they can lock out that account and card from being used, believe it or not but target has one of the respected investigation divisions the FBI even contracts them. [email protected] is the email that will likely get you the best traction.

Why do you say that? They’re supposed to by policy.

“This Veterans Health Administration (VHA) directive establishes policy requiring VHA health care providers, when requested and consistent with other VHA policies, to assist patients in completing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and non-VA medical forms and to provide patients with medical statements with respect to their medical condition(s) and functionality.”

If you’re in the US don’t order from overseas, the tariffs on these has been insane.

Here’s one that comes preflashed with 8311, and ships from within the US so you avoid any duties.

I purchased one a couple months ago, and just purchased another single one two days ago and got free shipping both times.

Here was the specific listing I purchased: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mO09vbf

I used Promo AEUS32 and paid $128.84 out the door.

People often don’t realize how much of an echo chamber Reddit can be. I mean that was proven this election cycle, you would have thought without a doubt the Kamala/Walz campaign was going to win if you were going off a majority of Reddit. Unfortunately, we got an alternate outcome.

Now whether I or others agree or disagree isn’t the issue here, to the letter of the law this is what does. I also hold that if the military broke you, then they should fix you.

“Under 38 U.S.C. section 101(2), there are two basic requirements for veteran status: 1) active military, naval, or air service; and 2) separation from such service under conditions other than dishonorable. 38 C.F.R. § 3.12(k)(1) entitled “Entry level separation” states that uncharacterized administrative separations shall be considered under conditions other than dishonorable.”

Furthermore, not only can an ELS applicant be considered for benefits one in which a fraudulent enlistment took place can also be considered for benefits also: https://www.knowva.ebenefits.va.gov/system/templates/selfservice/va_ssnew/help/customer/locale/en-US/portal/554400000001018/content/554400000043766/VAOPGCPREC-16-99-Dec-15-1999-Effect-of-Entry-Level-Separation-Based-upon-Fraudulent-Enlistment-on-Status-as-a-Veteran

Have him call this number: 844-311-0406

That's the safety reporting hotline, he should get someone competent on the phone. Have the primary concern be that the driver is being unsafe with the vehicle and has already caused property damage. It should get a different ball rolling.
