Good on you for keeping your composure. The stubborn moron can't let go of their initial reaction to what they thought you were saying. Correct me if im wrong, but you believe gentrification can help a city and all its inhabitants grow, from the bottom to the top, if handled correctly. If handled incorrectly, then it pushes people away who can't live there for economic reasons. These people likely had other issues with the city, but being priced out was the final push. I don't see how this contradicts your first couple comments on the matter.
