Also worth noting to not be directly behind someone when they're fighting either. Just this week, i've been killed a few times when trying to reverse out of sight during a battle and some twat waffle is right on my ass and prevents me from moving so i get got. I need all the points i can get damn it....

It's not about being the main character. You're making it seem that way, but in reality, it's a post i had made YEARS ago and i saw a reply in my inbox from it. A post that didn't really need to be dug up.

If i wanted to be the main character, then i would be looking up any posts regarding the case and comment on those. But I'm not, because that would be absurdly idiotic. On top of that, I don't want to. Because I know it's not about me in the end.

Could my anger be misplaced? Yea, maybe. I still maintain that that sort of comment on such an old post is ridiculous.

You hit the nail on the head. Yes, a young girl had been raped and murdered, by a friend of mine that I've known for over 16yrs. Someone I considered a great friend, even. The man I knew who would be there at the drop of a hat for anyone of his friends who needed it. The one who always smiled and was good for a laugh when things went south. The person who guided me and other mutual friends through some rough times in our lives. To now know that he was harboring such a vile act all that time is an insane betrayal. Maybe for you it isn't so, but the feelings of confusion, anger, betrayal, and even guilt for being so close to someone who could do such a thing wrecks havoc on the mind.

I am not dismissing the little girl and her family. I feel for them and glad they have closure.

But that doesn't take away the fact that trying to gain cool points on the internet with such a comment is shitty.

I was in tech school (air force) at NAS Pensacola back in 2k7. Being into paintball most of my life (16yrs total now), i jumped at the chance to go on a trip to blue angel park. I was the only AF dude. Rest were navy and marines. Naturally, they wanted to play with teams along those lines.

I sat out one game to take pics, during a CTF game. The marines got all gung ho and were shouting before the start. Whistle,blew, they charged straight down the field, zig zagging through the trees. Navy left one guy at their base. The rest split up to run the tape line. As the marines got close to the navy sides base, the two navy squads circled back behind the marines and wiped them out. Then they casually froliced to the marines flag and took it.
