Well, DNS adblocking is quite limited, as it can't block ads served from the same domain as the content. It does work well against third-party ad providers

To see even less ads on your phone: - if you only want an ad-free app, you can install a reputable third-party client - if you use a browser, then an extension like uBlock Origin will serve you well - if you want a single app to take care of your adblocking needs, then AdGuard is pretty good and easy system-wide solution - if you're tech savvy and want to go full overkill, setup a network-wide adblocking with PiHole

The named projects are just my recommendations, but there are alternatives for each method

You have to install apps for that on IOS. Adguard has a guide on it

On Android it's Private DNS option in network settings. Type "dns.adguard-dns.com" in the field, then save and voila! Enjoy your (mostly) ad-free experience
