Yes, very normal. Just a year removed from my surgery on my right shoulder. My doc told me to take the sling off but to ease into it. Take it off for an hour or so, put it back on for a little, then take it off again. You’re trying to retrain the arm to hang with a repaired shoulder and muscles that haven’t been used really in weeks.
But know that it will get better and this too shall pass. Keep working at it, you got this!
