OMG this group has so many negative threads, I almost quit it so I could just enjoy the show. Loved the show. Had quibbles. But, even if this is the 4th Season of Ted Lasso, it’s also the First Season of the New Era. New team, new project. I’m eager for the next season.
And yes, I enjoyed Zelda and her evil vibe. Good to see Tracy Ullman again. Onwards.

Henry’s comment seemed way out of line, considering “coaching a bunch of girls”
is what his dad is getting paid for. Maybe Henry is getting flack from other boys because of his dad being seen as merely a “girls coach” now?

I do think it’s cool that they name-dropped Hockney, several times over the run of the show.

I saw Bounce in Chicago. When I saw it the script had the gay couple as the epitome of commitment and love, while the straight brother of the pair burned through women mercilessly. Charming. Only “aggressively heterosexual” if that means no woman need be a real character in the story. Besides which, the play never quite found its soul.
Also, it seemed to be using early automated followspots, which were clumsy and distracting.

I liked the first Henry. I liked the hesitations, and sort of crooked mouth and tilting the head to think. He seemed like a real kid. I disliked the excuse that they needed a better soccer player. I am hugely relieved at the news he chose not to return, has other projects.

Oh, I’d forgotten the video kerfuffle. That also caused the break-up with Jack. And Jack was angry. Hey, new nominee for villain hiring mysterious thugs to bribe/intimidate Richmond plebes into selling their shares!! JACK!

I took her jab as defensive. She was defending her status as a creature above his rank. He noticed that, took a deep breath and let it go.

Agreed…but not that particular Hockney. No joy in that particular one. I want the collage portrait of Billy Wilder. Saw it years ago. Should have borrowed the money at got it, then. He is missed.

I am a bit put off by all the fluff. But I trust the makers of the show, and I’m willing to see where this goes.
