All my least favorite IGN personalities making a podcast. Hooray

It didn't feel like a celebration of Xbox or the fandom. They had a Gears of War booth with fake nostalgia museum-like collector's edition things and merch acrylic displays. And an Ikea booth that was mostly about current Ikea promotion than actual fan or brand legacy celebration. And that's about it.

A lot of people complained about the freebies being shit, but whatever, man. I would have rather had the opportunity to buy cool anniversary or special limited edition merch, along with cool stories or a cool documentary about Fable or Halo or something actually celebratory.

The multiple game booths with demos of released games or soon to released games that already have demos you can play at home were the most offensive shit imo.

Maybe the event was shit, but if they had accommodated to let about 20% of people in, it would've been a more palatable experience.

I played the demo at an event. I found the combat to be underwhelming

As someone who works a 9 to 5 marketing job and feels absolutely drained by the mundanity and repetition of it for a shitty salary, I sincerely hope Chris finds what fulfills him in life. He was in an extremely enviable job and I can't imagine what his going through that made him want to quit such an easy job. I hope his mental health improves and whatever else he's going through.

32m here. I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm currently struggling with this. I wish I had more than one piece of advice, but one that helps me go through the day is to live at least one moment in the present and enjoy it. It can be a bath, a good meal, a friendship, a small win, whatever. I've felt suicidal thoughts for years now and I feel I hate myself and my existence constantly, but if I died there'd be nothing. I appreciate that despite of my shortcomings and my mental health, I can still enjoy some things.

I've gone through different therapists throughout my life and it's made no difference, btw. Sometimes life is just shit. Enjoy it when it isn't.

I find it funny stuff like this should be the bare minimum expected out of any big company. I don't really feel like appreciating something that should be the standards in the tech industry.

I'll wait for reviews and a few patches. I'm extremely skeptical with anything Halo related ever since Halo 5. Infinite multiplayer was fire tho

I've read people think it's alive and well but we're not getting main story projects anymore. Progressive adaptations stopped and the game and new anime is something different all together. I feel they've been seeing small returns with each project since Alicization and Progressive and they can't or won't commit to bigger projects, e.g. the next light nivel arc. They want to appeal to newer generations or fan bases by soft rebooting with older Aincrad stuff.

Yeah, vertical slices of the main game after that many years is not a good look. Funny, my last Kickstarter was Mighty Number 9. You'd thought is get smarter over the years, but I blindly trusted.

Yeah! That guide rocks. It's a shame you didn't get a physical release in your region, but great you found the guide and the CD at a good price. I have a physical version of vanilla SMT V steel book that I opened once and have never played lol. I'll get the game on steam instead and play it on my deck. Would you say SMT IV is your favorite game in the franchise?

I went to a small market in my town that sold the sealed special edition of the SMT IV near launch at about 40 bucks. I immediately bough it, without knowing much. I was 18. It was my first approach to a megami tensei game and didn't even know what Persona was.

I played a hard ass game that I loved. I gave up on half way through because it has an incredible difficulty spike. Few months or maybe a year after I picked it back up (I bought one of the DLCs to easily level up lmao) and finally beat the boss that was giving me trouble. After that, it was still pretty tough but still fun. I then found out the game had 3 endings and I had made all the right choices for the hardest one (Neutral path). I followed an FAQ to make sure I didn't fuck up. The game is one of my all time favorites. I since then have played Persona 4 Golden (made my cry at the end), Persona 5 vanilla and Persona 3 FES (made me feel empty at the end) and Persona Q. I haven't gotten back to the OG series, but SMT IV is one of the toughest games I love (Dark Souls series not included lol).

Damn, this is awesome. I didn't buy the game because I love the localization so much that I was considering replaying the original game instead. Congratulations on your hard work. I get the feeling you learned a lot and I hope this is one of many modding projects for you!
