Really there is no difference. One set of people do something because they always have done it that way. Another does something because they have always done it that way and have an imaginary friend(s) that tell them to. You should either allow all or allow none.

to me that kind of thing makes sense really the goal when I set people simple tasks is to filter out people who just cant write code at all. Its quite scary how many people apply for jobs they would have no hope of being able to do. As for them OO code represents something about as OO as QBasic

really rather than say look at what the customer/company needs or is currently using etc you just want to implement something similar maybe its just me but that just appears really odd. Also copy and paste from a last job really is a big legal no no.

still not convinced its a good idea why is it needed what does the filter help achieve. This always strikes me as as a "think of the children" argument and I am not sure its needed. Why should libraries etc filter the internet if you look at something that is inappropriate they can just ask you to leave. If children are at school they should be with a teacher and if they are at college then what harm does it do they are big enough and old enough to look at what they want.

Is the uni not just another private university like University of Buckingham and BPP. This is just one in London, I get that they don't want cuts to education and I agree but I am not sure how a private university causes cuts. Maybe I am missing something.

Atheism is a lack of belief in god(s) its not a view that all life is important etc. You can be Atheist and think that life is worthless etc. Just because you associate the opposite of what your church told you with Atheism does not make it so.

You are correct there are many sources of protein but I like eating meat it has nothing to do with animals being subordinate to me it has a lot to do with that they taste nice. I will happily kill my own food and see no issue with this. I am an atheist and I dont consider all sentient forms of life scared , you do. My view is not due to me being an atheist and neither really is yours as not believing in god(s) has little to do with the issue. I grew up free of religion in my house and we eat meat. It tastes good , I also eat vegetables and lots of high protein foods like chick peas and nuts. With regards to the millions of deaths of other sentient life forms put simply I dont care I will eat most animals and see no issue with it. If you have a dog would you feed it a vegetarian diet ? will you be enforcing the peace treaty between the wildcat and the squirrel or the bird and the worm ?

Undue suffering for me means not doing anything to the animal that would make its life worse (other than killing it) that if it was allowed to wander about. For example giving it plenty of space and sufficient and good quality food. When it comes to the killing a stun and then bolt gun to the head satisfies my criteria. I have seen it done first hand and if someone was going to kill me to eat me I would want that for me.

If you want to be a veggie be a veggie, if you want to be a vegan be a vegan go for it I wont stop you I think its a nice idea I can see where your ideas are based and what you think you are achieving. The main thing to remember is that if cows and chickens and lambs did not serve a purpose they would have gone the way of much of the other wild life that gets in the way. Why stop at vegan though why not Fruitarianism. But your diet choice be what it may does not impact or change if a person does or does not believe in god(s).

You don't want to eat meat it has nothing to do with atheism you have constructed your own 'moral' values and decided that you cant eat mean and be atheist my personal values dont see an issue with it. Being a vegan/veggie is not tied to any social/religious choice many cults are vegetarian. My personal take is I have evolved to eat meat, it has a benefit to me and as long as undue suffering is not caused getting me my dinner I dont mind. If you have ever watched one animal kill another its not exactly gentle compared to a slaughter house.

This is something I really don't get I find it mental that a bank would charge you for access to your own money. I could understand the competitor charging you but your own back! We don't have this issue in the UK but I can see how it would be a huge issue for people on a tight budget who want to keep as much as possible in the bank.

The problem in my mind is nothing every happens to the police who do this. Peaceful protesters are easily beat up by the police. The police arrest anyone they can get there hands on and report a large number of arrests and injuries to the police so the media line is bad protesters. I am starting to think its time for protesters to fight back. It does not diminish the point you are making if you stop some thugs kicking the shit out of you.
