What Ares said. They don’t want to expel the entire team or the actions of one or two students who likely did it without the knowledge of everybody else.

Had to look it up. Apparently the school’s club tennis team was suspended after KKK imagery appeared in the program for a tennis tournament they were hosting. The team remains suspended pending the outcome of an investigation

I’ve never had many issues finding it at Giant at the Beacon Shopping Center in the Groveton area

Based on your flair, I’m not entirely sure if you’re referencing the historically neutral country or something to do with your former head coach.

My mom had a late-‘90s TrailBlazer (1998 I think?) that had a thick metal plate under the front as a brush guard. It had a little hatch to get to the side mounted oil filter, but the hatch was too small for me to get my had in to get a decent grip on the filter or even try to get a filter wrench around it, much less have room to actually rotate the filter.
I would have to completely remove the brush guard just to do the oil change.

Sorry, don’t know how I missed this comment the other day.
I currently live in the DC area, but I’m not that picky on food. We got into town a couple nights ago and have been to Cricket’s, Whataburger, and Torchy’s so far (decisions seem to be made before I can provide input). A lot of the other comments have given me plenty of good options to choose from while we’re here.
About the only way I’d be disappointed is if a place only has average national chains or the local places aren’t good at all.

I’ve been hearing more and more on other pages how some panhandlers are getting too aggressive and sometimes attack those who are just trying to give money. Other places apparently have panhandler traffickers who will gather up some bodies and place them at various intersections for the day and take a percentage from them when they pick them up. I’ve even had a lady bang on my truck window when I was sitting in the parking lot demanding to know when I was gonna go inside so I could get change to give her.
I too sometimes feel that bit of guilt when I see people out like that, but anymore I ensure I’m giving to various charities that I know will make sure the donations go for the right purpose (food, medicine, feminine products, etc), instead of possibly feeding someone’s addiction or scam. Right now I have a few bags full of groceries that I’m dropping off at my church for their food drive.
I don’t know everybody’s circumstances, and I know government assistance is…. lacking to say the least, but there are other services out there to help out those truly in need.

I tried to explain that to him to no avail. I think he was just so absolutely anti-Catholic that he couldn’t comprehend even the notion that Ireland has been a Catholic majority for centuries since that would mean our ancestors were likely Catholic, and obviously no one in our family tree has ever been Catholic (despite the stack of evidence I’ve uncovered doing ancestry).
CharlesBoyle799
I’ve not heard this anywhere else, but my dad had it in his mind that the Catholic Church was working with the English government to kill off the Irish during the Potato Famine and probably other moments in Irish history that involved the English doing bad things to the Irish. Nothing I said to him would change his mind.

If I’m thinking about the same conspiracy theory, part of their evidence is looking at architecture from before and after the supposed fabricated early Middle Ages and seeing how there weren’t any noticeable changes in style or engineering that you’d expect over a few centuries. Saw that on a conspiracy video with that guy and his talking fish.

This is how the be always thought it should be. No points or drastically reduced point value. If you make the snitch something like 30-40 points, it adds a whole new level of nuance to the game.
Seekers are now not only looking for the snitch, but they have to be mindful of the scoring margin. I don’t know if it’s ever explained how the pro quidditch leagues work, but if it’s like soccer/football this could also come into play where your team’s margin of victory/defeat also affects your league standings. Or if you have a tie at Hogwarts they could be used to determine who wins the quidditch cup.

I started watching it not long ago. Didn’t finish it because I had something come up. It was… interesting.

That’s fair. But even my 13 year old brain knew the “less hot” older sister was still hot.
CharlesBoyle799
I’d argue she’s always been one

I might have to check both out if I have time and get back to both y’all with my ranking.

This was the answer I was looking for. I just forgot to specify in my post. Thank you.

Someone posted something here not long so saying they’ve heard more republicans saying they’re voting for Munson, but haven’t met any democrats voting for Mazzei. Maybe there is some hope
(And I’m saying this as a registered republican)

Back in the heyday of the BCS, my HS band director, who was a huge Tennessee fan for no good reason, was always complaining that it was unfair because the top two teams in the BCS were always undefeated or a one-loss team, but “everybody in the SEC is so good they just keep beating each other and it’s impossible to have an undefeated season.”
I always think back to that and consider the hypocrisy when the Big XII or ACC teams are beating each other and the talking heads at the the SEC network (ESPN) as well as SEC fans point out how average everybody is that no one can set themselves apart (unless they’re ou or Texas)
CharlesBoyle799
It just means more I guess.
CharlesBoyle799
Because those are eight quality losses!

Right, cause the eagle hasn’t been the national symbol for the U.S. since the 1700s. Nor is it used by other countries like Mexico or Albania. I also don’t think Germany used a form of the eagle on its coat of arms for about 1,000 years.
Nope, Oklahoma Republicans definitely chose to use the eagle as its logo because a political party that only formed and gained popularity in Germany 20-30 after Oklahoma statehood.

Found an article in The Daily Oklahoman from September 1996. It’s somewhat ambiguous in the wording, but it appears the eagle logo is the symbol for the Oklahoma Republican Party and the rooster the look for the Oklahoma Democratic Party, and is written into the state’s law that way.
If anybody’s curious, the libertarians had the Statue of Liberty as their logo on the state ballot.
Such an underrated movie
