As Kendrick said on Good Credit “the hate get realer, the love get fake, but when you this great, that’s how you should like it.” HOV is one of the goats and on the modern internet being beloved comes with a lot of hate

American Gangster, WTT, and 4:44 all come after KC dawg 😭
Cheeseman035
Hold on tho we still need tgd tho 😭

Listen to his music and see how he moves through the world compared to back then. He doesn’t have to constantly apologize, there are more ways to prove that you’ve changed than constantly repeating the same apology
Cheeseman035
My favorite rapper is Kendrick

Come on yo, don’t hate to fit in those are bars 🤧😒
Cheeseman035
Pretty valid list ngl

I think the fact that none of the current ug has the same motion Carti, Uzi, or X had back when they were ug shows the current ug isn’t all that, ur not trippin. A lot of them have potential but they need to put more effort into actual song writing & structure to make records that pop, rather than just freestyle a bunch of tracks and put them out w/out working on them any further.

I don’t think ppl realize that only on the internet is MUSIC considered mid. Ppl irl love that album, there’s a reason it’s his biggest yet
Cheeseman035
I feel like it’s rated properly for what it is. I love the song, and other ppl that are fans of Tyler love the song, but I don’t think it could ever be beloved on a mainstream level like his hits are. And that’s ok, not every song needs to be a hit, that’s why artists make B-sides along w their A-sides
Cheeseman035
Yeah I didn’t hear ppl talk abt Keed when he was alive nearly as much as they do now
Cheeseman035
Don Toliver would make a great WTT album w Trav
Cheeseman035
Song was trash but Travis slid of this fr
Cheeseman035
A lot of artists do this at their shows. I saw Baby Keem back in 2022 and he cut off Family Ties before Kendrick’s verse. The artists don’t wanna just walk around on stage silent while another rappers verse is playing
Cheeseman035
Too many ppl involved lol

Honestly I think it’s based on whatever your personal taste is. TPAB is my favorite album sonically but I can 100% understand why you’d like GNX the most. Kendrick’s such a versatile artist and executes so many sounds to the highest level that you’re seeing so many different opinions in this comment section. Shit, depending on the day and my mood I can enjoy GNX over TPAB, doesn’t take away from either but they’re both meant for different things
Cheeseman035
Haha was just thinking when I saw the video that u called it

They seem like a pretty tight ship rn tbh. The way I’d see it end is Lone or Ken get big enough where they start their own artist imprint and focus more on that. And even then, there probably wouldn’t be bad blood but ppl just moving onto bigger and more individually profitable business ventures. Kinda like Kendrick leaving TDE to create pgLang

Like Kendrick said last year “The hate get realer, the love get faker, but when you this great that’s how you should like it”
Cheeseman035
Which is crazy cause that’s my favorite era
Cheeseman035
Goin Outta Style, Talkative, In Line, Tryna Get Down, & Breathing. Would be sick to get I Got It too
Cheeseman035
Nah Smi confirmed a while back it was always reggie

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, shit’s beautiful 🥹 Definitely better mixing tho
As much as I want the deluxe (and still do to this day) I will say it wasn’t the dumbest move. If he dropped the deluxe to “make up” for ppl not liking WLR at first, WLR might have never grown into the classic it is today. The deluxe never dropping forced ppl to actually sit w WLR and realize how good it was, a deluxe might’ve made ppl just ignore the OG project and write it off as a misstep
