I believe so!

It's very happy at 45 mph! I've gotten it up to 70 but it was struggling.

In a modern car maybe 10 minutes? Not super far, but I took my parents to get our Christmas tree in it, took it to run all my errands, I would put maybe 10 miles a day on it? Sometimes 20-30 a day. When my parents 2004 Mazda broke down it was our only vehicle for almost a year! It was pretty darn reliable considering it's 80 years old. It gets 25+ mpg city too!

Oh! That's the horn. I'm short and don't have trouble seeing over it, I can see it well enough between the horn and the top of the steering wheel

ChickenJoeStL

You talking about the maroon plastic/bakelite on the steering wheel?

ChickenJoeStL

I put chains on the tires in the snow! It was still pretty sketchy. I haven't been driving it in the snow since two years ago because it ate the hell out of the chrome.

It was dark blue! When the song Alice Blue Gown came out in 1919, she started calling it her Alice Blue Gown.

If I'm not mistaken the storefront was demolished in the 60's when they were building the VA

William Miller! 3646 Olive

Just a photo of a photo, I have the prints in my bedroom

ChickenJoeStL

I forgot how ridiculous it looks 😂 I've had it for ages and got used it. The original is tiny, metal with a maroon bakelite handle

ChickenJoeStL

I did end up cutting it shorter! Nobody will ever be able to steal it that's for sure

ChickenJoeStL

Lmao I put a copper pipe on the shifter, the bracket on the column broke. 😂 I'm waiting on a tool and die to cast me a new bracket in the meantime. It's not pretty but it works in the meantime!

Oh she sure did! She was a flapper in the 20's. She kept a photo album with every man she ever dated. She was engaged to three men at once, and dumped them all when she met my great grandfather in 1928! In the 70's she told my mom "you need to date as many men as you can, and then choose the best one"

It's BENES you jackass

ChickenJoeStL

Believe me if I could drive I'd go see what all the fuss is about

ChickenJoeStL

Unfortunately I'm stuck at home with a broken ankle

You can completely disassemble these stoves down to the iron burners, it's quite an impressive mechanism. I love how you can take each piece out to clean in the sink

Beffa's is oldest owned by one family, but they moved around several times. Trainwreck, Piccadilly and Failonis are the oldest in their original building
